    Hi All.

Well today's been a bit of a tester. Radiation is cancelled as only 10-20% of the tumours lie in untreated tissue. So its too much damage for too little return.

They're going to try and accelerate the chemo and Hickman line will go in next Friday, the 7th. Not really much on the good news front but we'll keep plodding.

    Hi Kissjenn, :hello:

    <Swearwords> at your recent news.
Share your annoyance about all the 'partial disclosure' rubbish; at least your medics are being honest re their own resources and possibilities now.

Sorry am not much good at comforting platitudes (too long living with an Aspie? :o).
Face it head on; time to be the best, the strongest you can - beat the bluddy averages through sheer force of will.

You doing the background stuff? ..Knocking back antioxidants etc., lots of fresh green [organic] smoothies, cutting back hard on meat and dairy?

How about, umm, spiritual practise (prayer, meditation, whatever name you give those experiences of escape within)?
..The restorative - and cheering - properties of making regular attempts to switch off that annoying little voice we all have inside our heads, is well worth the mental effort required. ;)

To think positive: The medics have a treatment plan and are getting on with it promptly. You're in Scotland. You have SB to launch into the world and lots of support from people who love you. Sure there's more only you know - plenty of reasons to fight, to greet each new day gladly - whether it is destined to be a good one or filled with trials and frustration.

All your friends will be alongside you, sending love and positive thoughts. Those within reach in RL have the opportunity to share fine wines, treats hopefully including the famous tablet, and no doubt many loving hugs with you.. Here's a dodgy virtual :grouphug: from me. :cool2:

    Thank you all as always.

Today has been a tough one. I spent yesterday afternoon, evening and night updating people and I think that's caught up with me.

I have three friends who have volunteered to take on Power of Attorney. I brought one of them completely up to speed last night and the other two are coming for dinner on Friday. As the game had now changed from this being a sensible thing "in case" something's happens it's now necessary for "when" things happen.

I don't know what anyone else's thinks but I feel morally obliged to lay that out on a plate so people know exactly what's going on and what I want done in certain scenarios.

I think there may be days like this ahead, just need to plough thru.

    3 Things I'm Grateful For

    1) A son who makes me go out with every day and makes me eat when I feel sick. Maybe things are for a reason and this means we get to spend time together which we'd never have if he was at uni or working.

    2) The hospital now telling me upfront what's happening.

    3) Friends here and in RL willing to stand by me thru this mess.
