I'm on the 0% balance transfer for life, so unfortunately will have to miss out on this

yep, you read right.
life of balance was an old offer, as long as you spent at least £1 per month, which Martin helped do by setting up a subscription you could use.
damn - if the £20 per month max cashback are true, my dreams of cashback galore are screwed.:mad:Karma is a wonderful thing.

£20 per month max cashback is better than nothing i suppose, its been ages since barclaycard had any offers. Got no correspondance from them yet - anyone have anything?0

Yes, it is from a few years back now - but it was 0% balance transfer if you make any purchase each month (even 1p)
- It was only available for a very limited time.
Thanks

i rang up with my dad to cancel his barclaycard on the weekend. they didn't tell him about 5% cashback or anything else. they simply closed it for him. he's had the card for over £25 years and way paying £10 a year for it even tho he didn't use it0

I didn't recieve a letter but apparently they were sent out last week. I did ring and ask and they said I was applicable, but I'm not sure, sometimes they have no idea what they are doing.0

My new Platinum card arrived today and I have just called to activate it. The lady I spoke to had no idea of any 5% cashback scheme. Ah well, at least it has 10 months 0% on purchases.0

Hi,
I've signed up to MSE especially to let you all know that I spoke to Barclaycard Customer Loyalty 5mins ago and was informed that she was aware of the hype concerning the alleged cashback offer on the internet but unfortunately it is not available from them yet. She said she does not know how people managed to receive letters from them because the terms and conditions were not even finalised. She informed me that they had planned to launch the offer early July but this has not happened and if and when it does customers would see a note on the side of their statement notifying them of the deal.
I asked whether the offer would be restrcited to certain customers, but she said she simply did not know. She seemed very genuine to me and was very aware of the postings regarding this on the internet.
Sorry folks, but it's all been a big hoo-hah about nothing...for now anyway!0 -
Thats promising though as it sounds like something is going on behind the scenes.0
