    Good morning everyone,
1 AFD for last night please, thanks for doing the chart Shaggy.
Had a couple on Saturday (4 G&Ts) am I allowed to say that I really enjoyed them? I think for me if I only allow myself a couple of days a week where I have a drink, it is a treat. I'm not bothered by chocolate and the like but wine and gin however...!! and I have said to myself so long as I can put the brakes on and not drink throughout the week then this will be my syn (slimming world) allowance. Problem is if I don't manage that slippery slope then I will need to reconsider.

Honey do you think that your friend may have had elements of this behaviour for years, and that because you're now sober you can now see this? Is there an element of there but the grace of God? Just interested to know how many of your friend's know about your sobriety, have you shared this with them? I have only really mentioned my new approach to drinking to one or two people, I wonder if I've done this just in case I can't see it through? Unlike my weight loss which is now very apparent drinking is something that you can hide to a degree. However, glad you had a lovely time.

Have a good Easter Monday Arkers x

Ah, Piggles, those fleas are having a major effect on your life and really getting you down, aren't they? They will go, you will get on top of the situation and things will improve. Hang on in there, and know that we're all rooting for you. Have a (((hug))).

thanks Honey Bear :) yes they are having a huge negative effect, not least that I have to remove everything from the floor for the flea treatment and I have no idea how to do that. It's just not possible to get everything off the floor everywhere and also in the cupboards. It's a big worry really.

I haven't put anything in the fridge for tonight and am hoping to have cranberry juice instead.

I'm glad the meal was good. It's a shame when friends become agressive drunks. I had an ex like that, and even after medical advice when he stopped for a bit he went back to the same again. He used to turn very nasty as if he had a problem with everyone. It's awful to see really and there isn't a lot that will get through at that point.

I'll also say Ellsbel 25 AFDs is remarkable and an achievement to be proud of :) It's well over 2/3rds of the month. My highest was 21 I think, and I still cling onto it to remind myself what I can do. So you've done hugely well.

The way I see it from on here is that lots of us have had several goes at what we're trying to achieve before we get there. It shows never to stop trying. My measly 7 in the middle of what I'm dealing with is at least better than the none I'd had before joining this thread.

24/27 AFDs today. No wriggle room left if I'm to achieve my target, but as it's mid-week I think I'll be ok.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

Haven't had any alcoholic drinkies since I last posted and instead have scoffed chocolate and subsequently signed up with the weight-loss crew

This takes me to 28/31 please Shaggy x

Hope the Easter break was enjoyed by everyone!

I was AF as planned last Tuesday and so I am at 6/14. Shaggy, please would you enter 14 next to my name as my target for April.

Honeybear thanks for the target reaching vibes, please send me a time machine, it's the only way now! I am strangely not indulging in my usual self hatred at this point. I am prepared to stand behind my past self today peacefully. It has been what it was.

I have had two vl days, one half glass of beer one day and one small wine the other and two wtm days over the long weekend.

I am planning to be AF today, tomorrow & Thursday.

    wtm = Way too much!

Piggles, Things will get sorted, hope things improve for you.

To all those with the bunnies next to your name - well done! To anyone else, happy Tuesday, onwards and upwards.
