  • All went to plan last night. It was quite funny as I got back to my desk in the afternoon at work and found a glass of prosecco from the director to say thank you to everyone. Talk about putting temptation in my path! But I found a colleague who has done loads of the hard graft for this project and passed my untouched glass on to her. She was so chuffed! I then sat in a pub and drank Becks blue and stuck to water. What is most important is that after the initial decisions were made I was happy and laughing just as much as usual. It was a bit strange towards the end of the evening as my friends became so much worse for the booze. This morning I had to get up at normal weekday time, no hangover and just slightly tired after going to bed later. An excellent result.

Now thinking about whether to drink for today and tomorrow or not. If I were moderate that would be a happy thing to do.

Either way I've already reached January's dizzying heights of 5 days and will be alcohol free again on Monday.

    Happy Saturday everyone.

    Epic Fail!

    Hungover all day.

Mr SPS cross with me as we are heading on holiday tonight and I have been hungover and sick all day long. Only just doing my packing now.

Friend came over last night so the bubbles came out. Later on, Mr SPS & I got in from a restaurant having only had one bottle of wine. He went to bed, I stayed up drinking, watching tv and whatsapping. No idea when I went to bed but I didn't drink water prior to going my head would suggest.

Mr SPS starting to thaw a bit now. He isn't angry I had alcohol but he is proper cross about the "types of behaviour" I slip into whereby I am up drinking alone until 3am when a sensible individual would just go to bed. He actually said "two degrees and not a drop of sense in your entire @£%^ing head"

Annoyed with myself again but forging on. Tonight will be AF!

calling in early with 6/29 AFDs to avoid temptation with the "wine o'clock" Saturday evening syndrome.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

    +1 for tonight. :)

Wife is pleased. To be honest, I've had no desire to drink so far this month. Everyday we used to drink a bottle of wine with our evening meal and I more often than not carried on afterwards, am so glad I don't so this anymore. These days when I do drink it's significantly less than when I used to drink regularly.

Well. Unexpected meal out with neighbours this evening - was almost resigned to the fact that even it was just a glass, alcohol would pass my lips ... Because of that I started thinking about having a glass or two of wine as I was getting ready :-(

But I am delighted to say that somehow I resisted that urge and neither did I drink during or after meal. :-)
