We're stuck on the M40 as the motorway is blocked following a really nasty accident in the rain. Got my travel mug of tea and glad we stopped for something to eat slightly earlier, as it could so easily have been us involved if we had been further along on our journey. But for the grace...Feeling sad for the families of the people in the car and support for the emergency services who keep streaming by.

    6/25 please.

What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

    +1 for tonight, making 7. :)

Yet again doing a lot better in February than January. For some reason January tends to be a bad month for me.
    2018 totals:
    Savings £11,200
    Mortgage Overpayments £5,500

Dizzy, also hope you get home safely and soon.

maggiesoup1, I think cutting down is tricky compared to just refraining altogether - I have found this week a bit odd with one night on, one night off. The nights on I haven't really enjoyed as much as I thought I might and the nights off have felt a bit strange/off kilter as well. Also, I've always found rules like "no drinking while at home" can work sometimes, but usually I'm quite hit and miss with them - though I've always found it's better to have rules rather than not, even if you fail to keep them, because then you keep casting around to find something that works. So, I dunno :) It's just a case of keeping on pegging away, I guess.

I am also very grateful for this forum. :)

Thanks Satchmo:) Just moving now. Our car battery died as the heated car seats were on and we didn't think to turn them off with the lights:eek: Cue frantic window rapping to get help to bump start the car from the fast lane onto the hard shoulder. Then once engine was running, a desperate climb to the summit of the bank to find a bush to tiddle behind. Only after I fell in a ditch, wrenched my wrist and bent my fingers back badly, getting scratched on the face by the bramble as I toppled, obviously. Then a mad slippery dash back down to the car to vomit in my takeaway bag through fright and adrenaline overload.
