17/31 for tonight please. Two giant peanut butter sandwiches used to curb desire for wine. At this rate I'm going to be the size of a small continent before month end :rotfl:

Didn't do badly on Friday (4 drinks) and Saturday (3 drinks) had already decided I would be happy to have a drink when I'm with partner or friends but not when at home on my own. I'm preparing dinner early as I'm beginning to weaken ...... had a cup of tea and that's helped a bit but can't wait for the chicken to cook as the half bottle of chilled wine in the fridge is definitely winking at me.

This could be me for sure. At new year I made the resolution I would not drink alone. I've slipped up twice so far but decided to try again this week. I'm not overweight but I'm hoping this will help me shift an extra couple of pounds, though rather like you I would fill up with tea/coffee and cook earlier if the vino is yodelling at me. I think it means I eat more too so not sure how the weight will pan out.

I'm impressed you resisted. Well done.

    Kind regards
    Poppety :)
  • Hello everyone. Please can I join you all? This morning I could easily sit and cry. I'm trying really hard to lose weight but I always sabotage myself at the weekends. Last night I managed the best part of two bottles of wine plus lots of snacks I would have resisted if I were sober. Am so very fed up of being on this roller coaster. I've always had the problem of not having the "stop" switch when drinking and I know I shouldn't have that first drink. Going to try and concentrate on sticking with the exercise and diet this week and NO wine. Hope you can all help me stay on course.

    Thanks......Rosie

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

It would appear there are 15 days left in the month and would like to pledge 11/15 alcohol free days. If I can manage that, I will be chuffed to bits.

Pushing out the MSE welcomewagon.gif for you. Good Luck!
