Don't hesitate to let me know if I've made a mistake! What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

As of last night I am 23/24 which means that that I can hit my target tonight with 5 days to spare.
I have a family gathering this weekend and the only way I can survive those is with some alcohol assistance but I will try to keep it to a minimum. Part of my plan is to volunteer to be the designated driver when going for dinner to my brother's house.0 -

I've found since I stopped drinking that everyone's superhappy to let me do the driving and it does stop all that 'Oh go on, just have one. It won't hurt.' I never, ever had a drink when I was driving and everyone knew it, so that's stood me in good stead.
25/30 please, Shaggy.Better is good enough.0 -

That's odd - quoted above but that's not my quote

Evening all
I messed up a bit the other night and wanted to have as much as I wanted, but had just under 4 units when I measured the next day. But because of that and the last mistake a few days before a whole bottle of wine has gone
I'm not used to using up part of my store lately but I think I'm more unsettled about my diagnosis than I was at first. It's like I want to enjoy myself in case I get iller and it has to be with with booze because I don't know any other way. It feels a bit like I'm rebelling against something.
I did redeem myself and had another AFD yesterday, but I want to drink tonight. It's becoming a bit of a quandrary when I was doing so well before.
Maybe now I've reached my target and passed it I could go back to every other day for a bit. Or is that a cop out?
I do feel miles better when I don't drink, but I forget about that when it gets to the evening and the want to have fun thing takes over.

Thank you Maman. I've been lurking on the Slimming World thread. I did WW back in 2001 and lost 4 stone but put most of it back on. Then lost over 2.5 stone in 2010 but again put it back on. I'm aiming for 1/2 stone by Xmas and total of 2.5 stone. Want to lose it and keep it off this time, more of a lifestyle change.0 -
20/20 AFDs today, target achieved0
