Wow Barny - that's some achievement!

Planning on an AFD today, but going to wait until the end as we're out tonight...

Good to see you back!:) Are you just going for a month's abstinence to prove you can or giving up for a reason? Apologies, just nosey.:o

AF planned here. Why do I find it so easy on weekdays and sooooo difficult at weekends? All in the mind I know.

DH has remembered about anniversary, just slipped into conversation this morning that we should do something special tomorrow. Day out in London planned so soak up a bit of culture, have a walk, have a meal. Most important, spend the day together.:)

    6 AFDs please Shaggy.

One day at a time, the hope is I can stay sober.
Can we just take it as read I didn't mean to offend you?

9/20 AFDs, and a much better day today. Took mum to a church social gathering of oldies, where they had tea, sandwiches, cake, jelly and a sing-a-long. The average oldie was around 84 and the average volunteer was 74. I have recently been thinking that as a nation we are more and more going to have pensioners caring for their aged-p's. 1. because people are having their children later and 2. because folk are living longer.

HB, great idea. I must check in with my sister and talk about a flexible rota, so we don't have to take taxis - especially as she lives 12 miles from the hospital (I'm about 4 miles away).
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?
  • Back from holiday and managed 1 AFD there but also several ALDs so pleased. Managed another AFD today so 4/14 AFDs for me Shaggy please. Have surprised myself by swapping to tea partway through the evening on a couple of days. I also have noticed a huge difference in the quality of sleep on AFDs.

Nope. No ALD or AFD to report last night. I had to stay home as small people just too tired to go out. DH went to the gym instead. Ended up having some port on the sofa. Three glasses :( Hubby refused to get me a fourth as he's trying to support me cutting down. Slept badly and awake at 5am but no headache, so far. Disappointed in myself. Admitted to DH that drinking makes me feel better (at the time) and he told me that my drinking worries him _pale_ I think I need to get my act together.
