Hey all just read back a bit and always good to read up the chat. sorry been awol, work, life and no balance. Working on that.

I started a while back going to a cutting down/ group thing (not AA), for helping to cut down/abstain. Its working well for me. They're doing a 'three-month contract' with yourself, sort of personal development thing but based around cutting down/abstaining. So I've signed up for that. I also wrote some goals down, mine was to be more honest with my partner about how drinking makes me feel. Early days so we'll see.

Oddly I didn't think I'd like the group thing but I do really enjoy it, they've got some good 'tools' to help you disarm cravings etc.

Anyhows, hope you're all good. Shaggy love can you sign me up for 31 in July and I'm on day 9

Honeybear I bought some becks of the blu-ish variety this week for folks coming over and some AF wine from sainsbugs and some nice juice, no one objected. a couple of curious looks and i just said we'd been giving up for a while, so its all we have in.

No sore heads on my watch. :D

Happy back from holidays Maman and new house Inky :D

    Good to see you pip.

Delighted that I slipped back easily into AFness last night.:D

I thought I wouldn't cope with the group aspect of Slimming World but although I still dislike the inane clapping it did work for me. Good to meet people in the same boat, offer support and share ideas. Which I suppose is why this thread is so good.:A

8/22 AFDs tonight, which is an achievement after a rough day with mum. She was feeling anxious which in turn made me anxious.

Luckily her two sisters came to visit her this afternoon so I escaped to do my weekly shop. I even bought wine and put it in the fridge.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?
