Hello! Yes that's what I was thinking when I set my target debjay. Well I probably won't drink on Friday nights but it's nice to have the freedom to drink two nights a week if I want to

Hope you are feeling better now HB!
Wow, good luck with your June target WantToBeSE. I'm sure you will feel the benefits of having a period of being completely AF. I know that I did!
Newroadahead it's strange but I sleep better when I don't drink now! I always fall asleep easily when I've had a drink but keep waking up throughout the night. I have a much more restful night when I haven't been drinking.
Sorry to hear about your DH Alchemilla, hope he's feeling better soon!
23/24 please Shaggy. One more day to target!0 -
Thanks Chardonnay.
Going into June with 13 days AF. They don't count in my target, but I am sober going into June IYSWIM?0 -
Morning All

I feel so much better in the mornings if i dont drink the night before.
Popped into Tesco and stocked up on the Schloer again, as it seems to be doing the trick, and they are 2 bottles for £3 in Tesco atm.0 -
Well done to everyone who met or exceeded their targets and equally well done to those who didn't meet them but didn't give up altogether :T
20/20 for tonight. Calling early but don't want to fall at the final fence.0 -

He has really severe anaemia.
I hope your DH is ok xnewroadahead wrote: »Please can I ask how people cope after a really bad week at work when all that solves the problem is 2 bottles of wine
It has been a really bad week and I do want to cut back but it feels like the only way I can sleep is if I drink
I know this is the cutting down thread so how did you guys do it
Thanks

2 bottles of wine is the norm here too and not unheard of to open a third  which is just ridiculous and I'm ashamed to admit it. Unlike others here, the fewer nights I drink, the more I seem to drink on those nights.
Anyway, I am embarking on a SNC this week  I've never managed it before but that is not to say that I can't and I will never stop trying
Nearly forgot to say, tonight will be AF so ending the month on 16 which, although is not target, it is over 50% of the month (just) :T which is a damn site better than a couple of years ago when it was 0%
Have a great week everybody

For those looking for an alternative drink, a splash of apple juice (to taste) in soda water is a pretty convincing white wine alternative with few calories and is super cheap too! I find that roughly 1/5 or 1/6 ratio apple juice to soda works well for me but experiment.
Hope that helps
