Sending you a hug too Satchmo. It must be so hard for you and you deserve a break. You did so well to resist having a drink.

6/31 now please Shaggy. Enjoying the lovely sunshine!

Joining in the group hug for you Satchmo - caring is so tough and you're entitled to whatever "me" time you can get.

Hello everyone. I've managed three afds only this week. It's really tough breaking the habit and I admire everyone on here. Shaggy, some more soft hugs from me to help you through the weekend!

    Xx

    7/31 please, Shaggy.

We went out to celebrate a friend's birthday tonight, six of us, to a fish restaurant we've all used regularly for over 20 years. It's tiny, family owned and the menu never changes. I absolutely knew they wouldn't have an AF beer because it's just too small to stock anything other than the most basic softies. Irritatingly I'd forgotten to put any more in the fridge this morning, so only the first one was cold. They not only didn't charge me corkage, they provided masses of ice for the second and third bottles they opened. I love Platters in Plymouth. Those guys are used to seeing me chug it back, so to kiss that profit goodbye and do it so cheerfully was a lovely surprise. (The rest of the group made up for it!)
    Better is good enough.
  • No afd for me yesterday as I was enjoying some G&Ts with some friends (3 single measure to be precise!). Anyway today will be so put me down for 7/24 please shaggy. Thank you

Thank you Miss Piggy. I absolutely love not drinking! This being sober lark, once I got past the first few weeks while I broke the 20 year old habit is actually very straightforward - and I thoroughly recommend it! We went out to lunch today with another group of friends and they all chugged their way through a few bottles of wine while I was drinking my faithful Becks. An excellent time was had by all and I won't have a hangover tomorrow - RESULT!

    8/31 please Shaggy.
