... absent-mindedly hums Hotel California .... I found myself wondering if that song means anything to someone so young as you, so now I feel old!

Hope you are all well?? Hope no-one minds me sneaking back in. Been a while since I visited but am hoping to stay a while this time
Update on Miss Piggy.........Piglet is now 9 years old (eek!!), and my stepdaughter recently made me an extremely proud Nanny. As I still consider myself young (41) I'm enjoying every minute and intend to be a hands on and fun nanny ☺. BUT I don't want to be known as the Nanny that likes the drink too much! I love my grandson very much and feel I owe it to him. Drink no longer causes the issues it used to for me (mainly due to the support of this group in the past) but would like to bring it down that little bit more.
So can I sidle sheepishly back in???

Unfortunately that song does mean something to me Honeybear .... was one of the tracks that me and my friend played to death in our teen years !!! And it's certainly very appropriate here....I check out but I never really leave ☺0 -

Well...good morning all!!
Good to see some familiar faces on here. Hope you are all going great guns with the af'ness !!
Mid-week drinking had started to creep in again here so I'm working hard on that. In the past I've said I would love to be one of those people who can have one glass of wine with dinner and that's it. But my glasses are the size of fishbowls and once I open a bottle that's it. So my first challenge is no more weekday drinking!!

Welcome back and congrats on being a grandma.
Really pleased for you that drink no longer causes you issues. Well done you for managing it well :T. There is no need to be sheepish here - it's a broad church that welcomes all (even sinners like me).0 -
Welcome back Miss Piggy! :hello:
Hotel California - I'm old enough to know that song - love it!

2/24 AFDs for me for last night.
Yesterday was a much better day, despite mum locking herself in and me out of our apartment (eek). I had to ring her to bring her to the hall so I could talk her through unlocking the latch. Her first reaction, when she couldn't immediately unlock it, was "shall I just leave it then"??? How did she think I was going to get in!
She is definitely getting worse. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -
Morning :hello:
I wasn't AF yesterday as I was out for a friend's birthday.
ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0
