I think I'm going to start my own thread here so that I can chart my progress and ramble on to my heart's content! I will of course still come here every day though to chart my progress and add to the conversation where I can. This thread has changed my life, no doubt about it and I am so grateful for the lovely posters here and for Shaggy for tirelessly keeping the scores. :T As you say, we never know how many people are reading but not joining in. I know that I did for a long time too, before I plucked up courage to join in. All I can say is, don't be frightened take the plunge because the support and warmth here can really make a difference to your life!

Well done Pricey on doing parkrun. I'll never be one of the fastest either but I think that's what's great about it. It's just such a great thing to do on a Saturday morning! :)

    18/19 please Shaggy! :)

Lovely post, thank you and couldn't resist quoting it in full again, something I rarely do but everything you say is pertinent, I think.

Linky please when you start your own thread so I can read along.

I tried joining the Women's Running Network when I first came across it and discovered that my feet really dislike running. They hurt in areas they're not supposed to, apparently, so I don't run. I'd rather like to be able to, so I'm a bit jealous, and there is a Parkrun in Plymbridge Woods that would be lovely, but never mind. Good on you those that actually do it, I'm cheering you along from the sidelines.

    23/28 please, Shaggy.
    Better is good enough.

I started running by doing Couch to 5K. It was great, as it gradually built up my confidence and I didn't try to run before I could walk (excuse the pun!). I know of others who have thought they can't run and been pleasantly surprised once they started that program.

Saying that, running isn't for everyone and I know some people don't like it. I think it's a case of finding an exercise that you enjoy (or maybe can endure!) and sticking with it.

I keep meaning to do couch to 5k but the couch always wins over actually getting off my backside! Once the evenings are a bit lighter, I think I will do it with the kids.

Calling in early so 1 more please Shaggy.

    Finally in double figures!

    Afternoon :hello:

    1 more for yesterday.

Week 2 of the diet and I lost another 2 Llb - making 3.5 Llbs :j which is sooooo much more than I expected to lose! I would have been happy with 1 Llb!

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
