ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

Read this & your follow up note the strength of advertising eh?
Ive always been known as the party animal at 51 its no longer a label I feel comfortable carrying & watching my "friends" as they fall out of the pub like a load of extras from a Beryl Cook painting Im more determined than ever to move on. My OH is a 10 pints a night every night man who refused to join me in my abstinence because drinking is "a laugh" & how boring was I going to be? Admitted last night that the only differences he has noticed have been in the positive ie the onesI listed before, plus the fact that its ok for me to drive at anytime!! I have informed him I have no inclination to change the label from party animal to that of taxi driver!!!! He also had a dry night last night & we had a lovely evening that we could both remember this morning. Fingers crossed he might slowly cut down but no breath holding
22/31 please Shaggy
Can anyone please tell me how many weeks its said to take to break a habit & start a new one?
Thank you everyone for being here its a far from easy trip & those that have fallen off the bus don't worry still plenty of seats jump back on the scenery is fantastic x
I believe it's supposed to be 28 days/4 weeks.
I've been struggling so can only report 6/15, please Shaggy. My month's target looks in dire peril!0 -

** Stay Excellent, Stay AF **
Well that's two of us in the same boat at the moment. I went my OH mums for tea last night and she poured me a glass of wine so that was that and tonight I am writing this with a glass of red by my side.
I WILL cut down to a sensible level and I won't give up till I do.
Tomorrow is another dayAs of 24th August 2016 total money owed was

A truly rubbish day but I sought comfort in the chip shop rather than the off licence, which isn't necessarily good but I am quite proud I stayed on the wagon :cool:0 -
