I thought the headaches might have gone by now, but I still feel hung-over but without the drink so I will need to see what happens. I suspect it could be something else diet related
Are you drinking plenty of water? I know that my intake is usually too low as most days I have been drinking alcohol. It could be cumulative? And for some reason my brain hasn't told my body to replace the now empty space in my hand that once held a wine glass, with a glass of water! So I'm trying to be more aware.0 -
4/29 for me please shaggy0

What a lovely warm welcome Honey Bear and Chardonnay.thank you and to you Shaggydoo for including me and really sorry can't seem to get colour changes to work on my new IPad must do better!
Day 1 AF I made sure it was a busy day taking down decorations and general tidying as on my previous times stopping drinking I found it helps for the first couple of days to keep busy as I tend to drink when I'm relaxing and if nothing else I'll have a lovely tidy house by the end of tomorrow who knows I might even clear the ironing to the bottom of the pile! Well good night and good luck to everyone xxLearn from yesterday
Live for today
Hope for tomorrow0 -
Welcome Mother of the World! Lovely to see so many people joining in - good luck for the rest of January! As FakePT says, it could be dehydration or as someone pointed out to me (sorry, can't remember who), caffeine overdosing - which in my case, it was. I hope you find the right balance and start to feel better really soon.
4/31 please, Shaggy.Better is good enough.0 -
4/31 AFDs for me tonight. I survived a boring family dinner event without booze because I was driving, and with the support of my sister who explained about dry January and that I did it every year. Thankfully there was water on the table and the food was good. Tired tonight, so I'm off to bed now. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0

Nice to see you sir. Are there still goats?
Well done on 7 days! Yer missus wouldn't lie.
I've found re-inforcing my good behaviour with 'sober' treats helping. A CBT technique to change long ingrained behaviours and stuff. Me being long ingrained.
I've also subscribed to these podcasts there are some free ones about but at around £7/month I think she's amazing value for money. There's a free five minute one to listen to here.
