9/17 AFDs for last night. The wine sirens were trying to tempt me to get a bottle from the stash in the boot of my car (for Christmas), but the weather helped as it was way too wild to venture out. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0

Had an early present given to me I would love to open it but I know it'll be gone instantly and stupid shifts at work are a nightmare enough without a hangover..
So 20 more days left so going for 15/20 as a target.
I don't normally drink but when I do I do keep going so imposing another limit on myself to include at least a litre of water every day and when I do drink, no more than a pint/equivalent every hour..January 2025 - Debt £20,0060 -
Welcome GrassGirl!
Ellsbel, the mutual motivation is exactly why I stay! Without this thread and by that what I really mean is the contributors, to be honest, I'd be lost.
OH is away for three nights and while I considered having a Becks Blue, I didn't bother to open one last night. I very rarely drank on my own, but found the company of other adults in the evening always led to alcohol, and in my case with a depressing frequency of too much. Mind you, I also never drank during the day and have found myself really looking forward to the evening ritual of the BB, to the point of actually opening one a couple of weeks ago at about 4.00pm.Better is good enough.0 -
Bad news for me, first two weeks of housing benefit will be £0! No idea why, I'm on 24hours and earn £6.50 so have to go sort it tomorrow morning
Won't open the wine though, but I am going to have a cheeky take away once I've done an hour of housework. Grr but being good. Ish xJanuary 2025 - Debt £20,0060 -

I do hope you get your finances sorted soon but meantime any cutting down you do will save you money. :T for making a start now rather than leaving it to New Year.
No drinking here tonight.
4 AFDs please Shaggy.0
