Sorry you're not well Alex
Thanks for the welcome wannabefree your user name is great too! It strikes a chord with me right now, too, as, as always, I seem to be dealing with the stresses of Christmas single handedly whilst OH and the teens desert me for Footie, Golf, endless Xmas "do's" and so on :-D
Accordingly last night was not AF as I had two glasses of wine at the end of a long, lonely and slightly stressy day, which I'm a little annoyed about as although still on target, last night wasn't a planned for non AFD.
Oh well - onwards and upwards:)0 -
Healing vibes for you both, Alex and GrumpyOldGal.Better is good enough.0

10/26 please Shaggy.
Went out for a meal with friends on Friday, had a couple of drinks but didn't get drunk. It helped that the wine was awful lol.0 -

Counting AF days and our lovely smilies is a very measurable way of cutting down Ellsbel but it's not the only way. Measuring your drinking in glasses rather than bottles is progress too.:)
I had a rare AF Saturday last night. I drove some friends to a dance so that bit was easy. Where I excelled myself was not having a glass (or more) when I got home even though it was then officially Sunday and I could have cheated.;)
5 AFDs please Shaggy.0 -
9/18 for tonight please.0

11 for tonight. Still not well but somewhat better than yesterday.
I've only one Christmas party to attend this year; my son's nursery so the drinks aren't going to be flowing there. Besides, I've got to play the piano and accompany my son playing violin in his "debut" concert, so best behaviour required there.
Being self employed I don't bother to take myself out for a meal or accidentally take compromising copies of my wife's bottom on my photocopier and my wife's place of work aren't having a Christmas party as such; they are taking all the staff out for lunch on Christmas eve instead. So, no chance of mischief this year with just the nursery to attend.2018 totals:

Lost the plot with what day I started this lol, I think it was the 11th so this is day 3/20
Not had a drop but have pigged out, that's the next challenge to link in but get Christmas out the way first. I'm sticking to having my litre of water plus (or was it two?!) who knows but hopefully my skin will look clearer soonJanuary 2025 - Debt £20,0060 -
14/31 please, Shaggy.Better is good enough.0

Oops, totally forgot I had a sneaky one at the pub yesterday, whoops... Must've been distracted by the yummy onion rings.. Strawberry and Lime Koppaberg.. Tastes like pop but definitely alcohol so *today* is declared as day 3/20!January 2025 - Debt £20,0060

Thanks maman, for your words of wisdom - I really do find your comments very helpful.
Unfortunately, no AF days to report from the weekend and although I think I may end up missing the target I've set for the month, I'm taking the positive view - there's a bottle of Wine open in the fridge now, and normally I'd finish it off tonight because it's opened, but I know I won't do that this time and I'm pleased about that:)
In fact I'm so confident that I'm OK for today that I'm declaring extra early, to get back on the wagon - 8/220
