17/31 for me - feeling rubbish had a really tough day with kids! I blamed my DS for something I later found out was done by my 22 yr old DD1 - she was drunk and angry with me for making such a mess of life recently! But it ended up with my DS flying off the handle again and the whole day deteriorated after that! Now I feel like the worst mum in the world and am angry with DD1 - would kill for a glass of wine right now!!! but going to make a cup of night time tea and head to bed with my book - I don't think sleep will come easily tonight!!!

That's what I keep thinking but not sure how to balance AF and non AF days in Feb yet. Thinking definitely SNC and then drinking if I'm off at the weekend. If I'm working at the weekend aiming for AF week ie no drinking during the week whatever I'm working.

How are the rest of you who are doing Dryathlon planning February?

Debjay, that's an excellent aim of being AF if you're weekend working.

I've been thinking about Feb too. My intention isn't to go teetotal, but I don't want to get to 1st Feb and undo all the good work. That's what 'they' say isn't it, no point doing dry jan to make up for it with old habits the rest of the year.

I feel as though I'm learning about me and why I drink so I'm determined to make that knowledge work for me.

That noble stuff said, 1st Feb is a Sat so might celebrate success with a nice meal and a matched wine. But not start with a beer and end with spirits. Quality, not quantity.

Otherwise, SNCs will be adhered to at the very least, which technically includes Sunday. I would really, really hope to just 'not fancy a drink' some weekends with a net result of drinking just one or two nights a week. And I'm going to get an app on my phone so I can check I don't go over weekly units.

And never wake up feeling rough and bloated and looking puffy again. God, I sound totally self-aware, sorry, don't mean to.

Good Monday morning??!! or is that a dicotomy of terms??!!

I have read through the weekend posts and must say you lot are amazing, :) dealing with all your different challenges, :) and sharing to inspire and support others :)

I cannot claim any more AFs days but I can share a personal achievement of really cutting down over the weekend :) and not going to bed 'plastered' :)
Shaggy im still on 8/31 but feeling a lot more confident :) that I will be able to pick up more AFs before the end of the month :)

Couldn't have put that better myself - like you, I am not able to add any more AFD's but did cut down remarkably - no 'heavy head' over the weekend at all :j.

Back to it today - I am determined to reach my target for the month so need to get some AF's under my belt ;)

Have a great day everyone :)

Evening all - unfortunately fell off the dryathlon wagon on Saturday.
I went to weightwatchers and lost half a measly pound! That's despite having over 20 weeklies left and not a drop since NYE. 3.5lb in 2 weeks, I was losing more when I was drinking.
Anyway, I had a bottle of red on Saturday night but nothing since, I am truly back on the wagon and declaring early tonight at 19/31 .
    Have a good evening all

Congratulations to everyone doing Dryathlon, I'm full of admiration for you.:T:A

I've struggled this month. I didn't really start until 6th January and I can't believe how many social things I've got on. I thought January was meant to be a quiet, dead time.

Well at least tonight's going to be AF.

    7 AFDs please Shaggy.
