Thanks to those who have responded to my posts. I really appreciate it. :)

Having had drinks on Thursday and Friday nights, I took the decision to stand on the scales on Saturday morning! Oh my! I haven't weighed this much for ages! I was shocked, in fact I still am. Anyway it has shocked me into action.

I popped on my stepper and set off round the village. I had a healthy omelette with onions, tomatoes and jalapeños for breakfast and then was very abstemious at a 25th wedding anniversary party. Didn't drink and ate no carbs at the buffet. Avoided dessert and went for another walk when I got home at about 8! Now that's what shock does to you. I have behaved myself again today and so can claim 8/14 days please Shaggy.

I know some of you are trying to lose weight too. If anyone has any tips do please share. I'm aiming for 10lbs in 5 weeks for my hols. Doable but hard work.

Hope you are all doing well.

    Kind regards
    Slowdown :)

    Happy Monday everybody :hello:

Well, I had an extended weekend as I took Friday off work as the weather was so lovely. No AF's to report for the weekend but very moderate drinking so that is an improvement :)

Slowdown - I am a great advocate of Slimming World for both losing the initial weight and also as a sustainable way of keeping the weight off. I lost about 21lbs the year before last and have managed to keep it off since then (with the odd gain of a few lbs here and there for holidays etc.) but it comes off again quickly once I revert back to plan. I didn't go to a group but just picked up info online & from magazines, books etc. There is a very active SW forum on this site - here is the link if you are interested: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4896358

I will definitely be AF today so that takes me to my first smiley at 7/12 AFD's please shaggy.

    Good afternoon :hello:

I fell off the wagon (so to speak) on Friday evening into the night into the early hours of the morning :o but Saturday and Sunday were spent socialising with my Sorelle/Becks Blue and Erdinger...and it was good not to have to deal with that horrible come down the next day :) Im starting to get to like this feeling :)

Shaggy could you please mark me down for 7/23

Have a great day everyone :grouphug:
