What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

  • Another saturday night with knitting and camomile tea :D

I'm going to my mum's for a family birthday lunch today. I will be driving and not drinking, so am calling in very early with 12/31 please Shaggy
  • 8 please, Shaggy, thanks

Very pleased that I managed an AF last night - took huge amount of willpower though, although helped by the fact that it was DD2's last Saturday night at home before back to uni

    Debt-free and Proud!
Didn't manage AF last night either. However, I do not expect to on a Saturday.
    2018 totals:
    Savings £11,200
    Mortgage Overpayments £5,500
  • Up to 8/25 AF days.

And do I ever wish I hadn't drank last night, feel like I am coming down with something also. But we have an office to finish a complete decoration of this weekend as the carpet is fitted tomorrow (thought the pressure would make us get on with it!).

Why oh why do I ever drink?

Thank goodness for that!! I WILL meet (and beat I hope) my target!!

I had some wine last night but really didn't enjoy it (a French Sauvignon rather than NZ or Chilean for those interested). Ended up making a mug of tea instead and kept the wine for today's gravy. Hope you approve!:money:

I'm still only on 2 a/f this year Jo but I'm not allowing myself to see it as failure. We are 'work in progress'.

I'm toying with the idea of trying a slowly cutting down plan since my success at total abstinence hasn't exactly been the best. It might take a few months to get down to a/f but at least each day will be a step in the right direction.

Again this is experimental I have no idea how successful it will be but if I can do it my confidence will surely grow over the weeks.

For some, cutting down is a great way to stop drinking. Unfortunately it didn't work for me - I have to drink to excess :o which I have done the last 2 nights resulting in me feeling absolutely dreadful today and, surprise surprise, I have got nothing done. I will be AF tonight though so I have finally reached the first milestone of 7/18 please Shaggy. I am hoping to complete a full SNC week which starts tonight and for me, ends on Thursday... I've not managed it yet but that doesn't mean I never will.... and who knows.... perhaps this will be the week :D

Another failure this weekend...why am i bothering?? :(

I sometimes think that but then I have a lovely AF day, wake up feeling so much healthier and remember why I am doing this! I want to feel like that every single day :)
