17/25I love reading your thoughts Smiley. Makes me wish - not for the first time - that I was a runner.
And also I think it would be really hard to have someone in your living room drinking brandy on a Friday night and not touch it. That is strong.2017- 5 credit cards plus loan

15/21for me please Shaggy. Well i think so anyway. OH is having brandy and I have refused although I really really want one.
Well done for resisting! :TElusiveLucy wrote: »Then last night my OH suggested a nightcap, so I had just the one, but then felt I had wasted an AFD.
I felt a bit like that yesterday. I went out for lunch and had 2 gins. I'd planned to have more but having weighed (first time since before holiday) I was so horrified with the gain that I didn't have any for the rest of the day. I'd have been just as happy with plain tonic.:(0 -

Do you use any other social media PSL? I value my F'book feed for updating me on where we are about something political and I'd go mad without that but it takes ages to scroll through all the fluffy kitten stuff and completely inappropriate adverts. I'm trying following various people on Twitter instead from today instead but I can't say Tweeting is high on my bucketlist.Well I realised I was the last to post on here so I am talking to myself!
I'm generally talking to myself around bank holidays, public holidays, most Sundays, Christmas and New Year. I'm used to it, although I might appear to be a bit mad to anyone who reads back without checking dates!
You'll soon slough it off, Maman. I was so worried during the election (politics again) I managed to persuade myself I needed a LOT of chocolate. I'm still having trouble weaning myself off it but at least my weight has stablized so it won't be long before I can start to deal with shifting it. No cheese, no chocolate tends to me the best method that I've found works but it's hell for me. I suppose I could always follow Dolly Parton's diet advice. (Don't ask if you're easily offended, but it is good advice!)
22/31 please, Shaggy.Better is good enough.0 -

Thanks for your support and kind words everybody. It makes a difference to know that I can share my thoughts and other people have been in a similar situation.
Had another night of OH drinking brandy and I resisted again. Although again it wasnt easy. I looked back at what I had put on Saturday morning. I had a great run yesterday and that was because I didnt drink. This helped me enormously.
So it is 16/30 for me today. Hurray!Do I really need it? Probably not.:A0 -
Well done Smiley!

I read (please don't judge me HB mail online and sometimes the times and occasionally the observer.
Slightly off topic.
I just find everyone so outraged and angry on Facebook. If it wasn't so angry it would be better.
And then I have lots of friends who are mums and think that people want to see their child covered in banana or having it's nappy changed and I definately don't! But think I am minority because lots of people will like all these pictures and think they are adorable rather than stomach churning.
I just want to see things that make me smile and this seems to be in short supply on Facebook.
I would not recommend the daily mail for a balanced political view but I'm sure this isn't news to anyone.2017- 5 credit cards plus loan

To join you off topic for a moment PSL, despite my loathing of Mr Murdoch I read the Times daily and weekends. I hate putting money into that man's pockets but it's the most balanced and generally intelligent read I can find. Of course, I don't swallow everything they say but there does seem to be a genuine freedom for the journalists to challenge and criticise government provided they don't go too far and always get some anti Corbyn nonsense in there.
I wasn't feeling too good yesterday (flare up of an old back problem) so unexpectedly had an AF Saturday.
10 AFDs please Shaggy.
All bonus days from now on in.:D0 -
11/18 for me today. Fingers crossed for an AF Sunday here. I'm chilling out reading Mr Murdochs stuff today free with my W@itrose shopping. I am listening to Classical music and rying not to feel restless and stop pacing about!0
