Have thought a lot about alcohol today. I'm unsure why. I was tempted but it was a vanishing thought and not having any in the house helps.
Today I bought some alcohol free K0pp3rb3rg. We are going to an end of term party and even though I could walk and drink wine, I've decided to drive instead. I might end up having a glass of wine when I get in early eve,but only if I buy it between now and then.
Never had the AF K0pp3rb3rg before, hope it's ok.Live for the moment and plan for the future0 -
I've noticed a lot of my fb feed is about alcohol. Whether it's memes, people talking about it, asking for it, reference to hangovers or posting their glasses of contents. Alcohol seems to be a popular subject.Live for the moment and plan for the future0

9/18 for me for last Friday, last night and the night before. I'm planning another one tonight. I've been without internet apart from a teeny mobile. No TV either. I'm helping my family move house which is going well. Not having curtains is making me miss them this morning though!0

I avoid bullies. I don't like being around people who insist I do what they say. Experience has taught me it never brings me any of the things I value or want. Sobering up which is what we're talking about, even if that includes some booze, often means taking a long hard look at all of our own choices.
To be blunt, physically men can absorb more alcohol than women can without it affecting their bodies so much, so if a woman tries to keep up with a man, she'll end up in a worse state. If it's a choice between your liver and a promotion, my choice would be to keep my liver. And think about whether you might fit in better in a different organisation.
I know you're in a toxic drinking culture but you're well on the way to taking back control because you're aware of what's going on around you. Keep going, because we're all rooting for you.I've noticed a lot of my fb feed is about alcohol. I have a cousin who is a vegan and posts about virtually nothing else on F'book. I love her to bits, have always admired her for her principled stand in life and think the absolute world of her. Her children are all highly individual and carving out interesting lives for themselves so she's been a brilliant mother as well. One of her daughters is very, very pretty, works for a very successful multinational corporation and is clearly doing very well.
Every single photograph she posts of herself, with friends or on her own, includes alcohol. Every. Single. Photograph.

Don't hesitate to let me know if I've made a mistake! What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
I don't do FB but I try very hard not to be obsessive about anything. I know I post on here daily as I do on the Slimming World thread but that's more about dealing with it and then it's done until tomorrow. I know I used to think about drinking 24/7 and was always planning when I'd have my next drink. Similarly there are people I've met through SW that seem to think constantly about food. I find if I have a plan, do a little maintenance (like posting my targets) then it's dealt with and I can move on. It's not always easy but it works for me.
9 AFDs please Shaggy.
That means I should meet target on Monday and then quite a lot of month left for some bonus days. Same with you too sukey. Well done.:T0 -
