Excellent idea Maman. Do you mind if I nick that as a sort of daily mantra? I'm trying to wean myself off F'book - amongst other things!

21/31 please, Shaggy. Another watersport smiley - yay!

I don't do FB but I try very hard not to be obsessive about anything. I know I post on here daily as I do on the Slimming World thread but that's more about dealing with it and then it's done until tomorrow. I know I used to think about drinking 24/7 and was always planning when I'd have my next drink. Similarly there are people I've met through SW that seem to think constantly about food. I find if I have a plan, do a little maintenance (like posting my targets) then it's dealt with and I can move on. It's not always easy but it works for me.

    9 AFDs please Shaggy.

That means I should meet target on Monday and then quite a lot of month left for some bonus days. Same with you too sukey. Well done.:T

Thanks Maman - for some reason I have found it a bit easier this month - not been tempted (so far!) to have any 's*d it' days ;)

I quite agree with you about planning - it worked for me when I was losing weight - I did a meal plan every week and still do that now. Now, I find that if I plan to have an AF day then I tend to stick to it (mostly :p)

No AFD's planned for the weekend although I will be back to it on Monday :)

Have a great weekend all :j

    Hi All :hello:

    SHAGGY Can I have 6/14 AFD's please.

Only managed another 3 since my last post, its been mad the last few weeks in my house & I fly out next Sunday for 2 weeks in the sun so be mad again this weekend. I had a few occasions where I would normally have a drink & I didn't, so I am pleased with myself, as I am learning (slowly) that I don't need to use alcohol as a crutch anymore to be at a social event (I get very anxious). I was at the horse racing last week & took my sister & niece as well as my kids & didn't drink then a christening on the Sunday, hubby was severely hung over after a work night out so I drove, both of these major events for me. I am proud of me :D.

I am still aiming for my target, plan on having a bottle of wine on Saturday night & that's it, determined not only to get my target but to lose a few lbs before I go. I will try to remember to post daily next week. Have a good day everyone x

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

No more AFDs for me for the last 2 nights. Had a bit of a s*d it day on Weds when they produced champers at work to celebrate a rebranding. I was going to resist, but then didn't (my own fault/decision) and that led to me then drinking again when I got home.

Then last night my OH suggested a nightcap, so I had just the one, but then felt I had wasted an AFD.

I very much doubt I will be AF today or tomorrow and probably not Sunday either. Still hope to make and break target this month. Would have like to have done 16 AFDs but I don't think that will happen now,
What goes around comes around.....I hope!

All the talk of Facebook - i came off it earlier this year and overall feel a lot happier. And feel less pressure in general and more content.

Well I realised I was the last to post on here so I am talking to myself! But I was shall I/shant I about having a drink last night all night. I am going running with friends today and I wouldnt be able to do that if I drank. I kept thinking I should message my friend to say I couldnt come and then I could have one. Thankfully it got too late. So now I have had a better nights sleep and woke up not feeling like rubbish because I didnt give in.
I am doing some races soon so I need to be training as much as I can which is helping me. Also must remember this feeling of Saturday morning minus head of fuzz.

I am writing all this down as it just helping me organise my thoughts. So sorry if its all a bit rambly.

Tonight is OHs friends party. Drinking games involved and lots of why dont you drink oh just have a drink type questions/interrogations.
Do I really need it? Probably not.:A
