    Good morning everyone,

    6 AFD please Shaggy.
Admission: turning into a nag with my DH re his drinking. He has 30 working days left before retiring from his job of 30 years. My worry is that his drinking will become even more of an issue when he finishes. I have had this conversation with him on numerous occasions and he's very happy to pay lip service to cutting down, but hasn't.

Me three......that is another reason why i'm cutting down now in my forties to prevent another maternal generation taking that route. Interesting book to read by the sounds of it. I give my children omega 3 everyday to help their brains at school. I take star flower oil for my perimenopausal symptoms. I wonder if that counts?

Omega 3 is on the list of supplements mentioned as a positive in the Alzheimer's book, star flower oil isn't. The combination it recommends is B12, Folic Acid, Vitamin D and Omega 3, as well as suggesting which minerals to avoid. It suggests quantities as well, so if you're interested I really do recommend brrowing the the book from the library. I've taken pages and pages of notes which I find is the best way to help retain the information and it means I don't have yet another book cluttering up the house.

Welcome PettyPace! Good luck with it.

Worrying for you, Arkers. Has OH got interests or hobbies that will occupy his mind?

    7/31 please, Shaggy.
    Better is good enough.

Hi HB, DH has worked shifts for 30 years and has very few hobbies (other then walking the dog). Don't get me wrong I'm very excited about us entering the next chapter of our lives together. We still have one child who is in 6th form, however there is an opportunity for us to choose whatever we want to do. We have spoken about finances 'til the cows come home, and as he's due to get a FS pension, this is as secure as it gets these days. We have a few irons in the fire, but obviously we can't just pack our bags take our passports and shut the front door.

I've spoken to him about joining the bowls club (he used to bowl when he was younger). However I feel it has to come from him. On a purely selfish note I have said that he can't expect me to be at his beck and call and drop everything I want to do. I guess most people his age are still working, so a p/t job might be an option?

As a natural born worrier, perhaps I'm jumping the gun, but the opportunity for him to drink even more is a possibility which can't be ignored.

    Arkers x

    Hi all,
Can I have 7/31 and I can see that yearly targets are also on offer. That is interesting. I am going to try for 360 please. Start as I mean to go on. Bring it on 2017! :)
Do I really need it? Probably not.:A

5/30 here too Shaggy, on nights now so the next 4 are a canter.

I see people mentioning improved sleeping. I still don't sleep right, but on the plus side, my chronic heartburn/acid reflux has gone.

    Hi all,

I was away for a few days and had some wine but even as I drank it I didn't really want it so I'm at 6 AFDs.
