Don't give in Dizzy, we know FB is just a platform to show off on and is an unrealistic view of everyone's lives. Be stronger!

Dizzy, I agree with CuppaTea - it's really hard on FB to tell what's true and what's not sometimes and even if that's not true in this case, getting trollied would probably make you feel worse (especially tomorrow). I hope I'm not too late!

    Hi

I think I meant 1/7 not 1/8 last night. Oops.

I also agree with what's been said about Facebook. It runs the highlights of everyone's life, leading us to believe we are inadequate and socially estranged. Or comments are directly aimed to hurt and offend. Most people would never do that in real life but somehow on social media people can say unpleasant things and be completely detached from it. I have an account but a couple of days ago told my DH I was not going back on as I'm sick of hearing how wonderfully well it's all going for everyone (which is far from true). And if I see another picture of somebody's dinner or their cat on a trapeze, I might just scream.

    Dizzywell done for resisting.

    Kind regards

Randomly came across this thread and I'm teetotal for the time being.

Dizzy don't give in to that social media jazz. I remember a time when people did well without social media and were happy, shock horror! This mythical time was known as the 90's and early 2000's!

I don't ever get tempted to drink booze when feeling angry but for people in that situation I'd say hit the gym and take the anger out on heavy weights as the satisfaction will be miles better.

Slowdown I hope you stand by this and pack in Facebook. We look forward to welcoming as many people back as possible to the human race.

19/31 for me, although I'm fighting a strong desire to get trollied after seeing something on FB that has made me feel rubbish.

Hope you managed to fight it off dizzy. At least this thread is one area of social media where nobody will put you down.:A

(((Hugs))) Dizzy. It's not just me, then, who feels a bit discombobulated by F'book. That's a relief.

Well done, CuppaTea. It doesn't matter if it's a low target - achieving your target is the idea, and exceeding it is brilliant. I'd have been happy with 4 AF days a month in my drinking days, but I just couldn't make myself manage any more than one, very occasionally.

*Peaceful sleeping vibes* for you Arkers.

    25/31 please, Shaggy.
    Better is good enough.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
