Welcome to the thread slowdown and well done for setting a target now rather than waiting until term starts again. It's always more difficult in holiday time. I don't try to cut down when I'm actually away but sometimes it's hard to get back on the wagon when I return.

    13 AFDs please Shaggy.

That's up to yesterday as I'm not calling in early as I might decide to have a drink in the sun later.;)

Thank you for your lovely welcome, maman . I really appreciate it.
I have set my target now so there's less room for the stress to creep in and change my mind!

I'm already looking at my waistline and hoping that goes down in line with the consumption. You never know.

I shall be popping back later to declare my day of abstinence.:):)

Thank you for letting me join your thread. I'm hoping it will help me again, just as it did once before.

    Welcome Slowdown

I have only recently re-joined this thread at the beginning of August and it has already made me more mindful of my drinking habits. I am having more AF days and even when I do drink I am consuming less so it is a win-win situation :)

Declaring early for tonight so target reached for this month at 15/15 please Shaggy :j

This doesn't mean that I am going to give up trying for the rest of the month though - hopefully I will be able to add a few more to my total before the end of August ;)

    Welcome back, Slowdown.

Very conscious that we haven't been hearing from Satchmo, ManPants or Piggles for a while. Hope they're doing okay.

    24/31 please, Shaggy.

    Hi all:wave::wave::wave:

Thank you for your warm welcomes.

I'm glad this is helping sukeyboo. I'm thinking this will do exactly the same for me. That is to raise my consciousness and make me stop and think before I indulge.

I definitely won't be drinking tonight as I'm driving home from my caravan in Devon. Fish and chips on the beach first though so that waistline I was talking about won't start shrinking just yet!!!

    Kind regards
    Slowdown :)

I've been thinking the same HB. I hope they are too.

Welcome back Slow Down. I can identify with what you are saying completely. I also have to remember to put the brakes on, for as you say my future health. Its good to have you back. Keep checking in here regularly, I know it helps me stay on track, or at least make me think twice and more accountable.

I usually struggle to make my target with a day or two short. But today I am proud to announce I'm over target. I know its a low one, so I will consider raising it for September. I was contemplating Dryathlon, but I know that's unrealistic. I'd rather aim for a slightly higher target and achieve than fail and blow out.

    16/15 please Shaggy :j:j:j

    Hi CuppaTea,

I'm actually glad to be back as I know it's all got out of control again and needs reigning in.

Well done for going over your target.

I'm declaring for tonight. 1/8 AF days please Shaggy

    See you tomorrow

    Kind regards

19/31 for me, although I'm fighting a strong desire to get trollied after seeing something on FB that has made me feel rubbish.
