What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Hi please may I join this month? I follow this thread and it's great to see people doing really well and supporting each other in difficult times. I generally only drink at weekends but sometimes I have too much so I want to cut down. I have done whole months/6 weeks AF without any bother, but don't seem to have the elusive "stop" button when I do have a drink.
This month I would like a target of 20 AF days
And just to bely my statement above, I did have a drink (3) when out with my friend last night, unusual midweek, so far it is 1/20
I hope everyone has a great month and thank you to Shaggy for updating. X

Pushing out the MSE welcomewagon.gif for you. You're on the list - Good Luck!

Yesterday was a gym & diet "Cheat Day" so I had lots of nice things that I ordinarily wouldn't have. This included Prosecco & Wine but drank over several hours and nothing terrible to report this morning. I think the main thing to tell is that I was up at 5am shovelling pain killers down my neck and gulping water.

I think what this has done more than anything, is cement in my mind that drinking isn't really worth it (for me at least). I don't know how this tectonic shift in my thinking has happened as only 8 weeks ago I was pretty much drinking daily but I am just glad it has. Tonight I have a social function in town where I won't have the car as my ally and excuse but will certainly not be drinking taking me to 5/28 AF for the month.

Hope you all have a great Monday & win any battles you face today with alcohol or otherwise.

Have you thought about what you'll say when you can't use the car as a reason MP? Will you say anything?

    No plans to drink today.
