Don't hesitate to let me know if I've made a mistake! What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

Morning All
Thank you ElusiveLucy, Arkers & HoneyBear for the good wishes. :-)
Business Meeting went incredibly well and I emerged into the bright day sunshine after almost 5 hours and I immediately wanted a country drive and a glass of Prosecco in a beer garden.
Ultimately, we did go on a country drive but I remained on soda. In the evening OH & I went to see the in laws for a check up & to tell about today and whilst a stiff Gin would ordinarily been the order of the day I remained resolute that I was AF. Later on we were at a champagne cocktail party for a birthday but it was in the countryside and I drove whereas everyone else got sozzled & I drank water. I observed everyone and whilst I did have a nice time it wasn't as much fun as I normally would have found it if drinking.
So, three potential alcohol opportunities side stepped in one day. Small victory in a large battle but victories nonetheless. This morning, I'm up early, washing on, computer fired up and lunch made for OH all before 6am clear headed.
Reporting in 2/31 AF days completed.
Not drinking tonight. I could easily get used to this clear head and lack of guilt. :-)

Well done ManPants - three temptations in one day side-stepped is some going!
We went to the pub for a meal yesterday as I'd been driving for 6 hours and CBA to cook dinner. There was a meal deal on that included a bottle of wine. I'm pleased to report that I took the wine home, unopened :j
Another AFD clocked up, so I think I'm on 4/28 now
Today will be a treat-free day. I have no treats :rotfl:0 -
Good morning everyone,
5 AFD please Shaggy.
MP don't wish to patronise in anyway, but give yourself a pat on the back. You were surrounded by situations where you could have easily crumbled and you didn't. I think your observations about not having as much fun were interesting, but your health and well being are so much more important. Think how you would have felt this morning, no thick head or furry tongue amongst other delights. Fab news on the job front - exciting times!
Enjoy the sun everyone.

2/14 for me please Shaggy. I'm on holiday but volunteered to drive to a restaurant. The drinking days this week have all been lower than normal and I'm sleeping really well for over 8 hours every night this week. Amazing how good having no work stress and less booze are making me feel!0
