Nope, I didn't say they did it to switch the IMEI, I said they did it to check.
Jail breaking will not unlock the phone.
But it will let you see how much of a dud you have.
As for the IMEI being blacklisted across Europe, even Orange don't claim to be able to do that!1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
