For anybody who doesn't make their own stock due to length of cooking time required - that's where my Pressure Cooker comes in very handy indeed :D.

    Or a slow cooker :D

    What won't i do?

Use lentils. Hate the awful things.
Use TVP soya or oats to bulk out mince. Tasteless soggy stuff.
I can't knit nor can I crochet and that's fine with me.

Not much else I refuse to do......

This whole thing about wee clothes.....I got impression MrsMH was referring to antibacterial ones you can wipe and flush I assume instead of using a cloth when you clean the bathroom (if that makes sense). Any accidental spillages here get wiped with loo roll and the. I use a washable cloth and sponge to clean bathroom BUT toilet is done last ;)

A couple of people have mentioned 'cheap' washing up liquid,

Aldi is the which best buy. Its effective and not dear. I don't buy regularly from Aldi but I pop in a couple of times a year for some goods and buy a stock of washing up liquid on each occasion. Enough to last me til the next visit. :)

I would rather go vegetarian than eat offal!
I don't use a mooncup because it doesn't appeal and I'm not sure how healthy it is having a bit of silicon up in that bit. I don't use tampons either unless I'm having a very heavy day (usually day2)
I've tried making stock from bones but I'm happier just using a stock cube.
    HM soup is awesome!!
I don't own a slow cooker or pressure cooker, but I wouldn't be adverse to using one.
I do use washable cloths to clean the loo floor, seat and outside of the bowl. They get washed on a hot wash with the bath towels or (dont tell him) DH work clothes..

The freezing of food rubbish is a good idea so it doesn't smell or attract flies.....not that I ever have freezer space, but may endeavour to keep a bit of space for this in the summer.

Cook most things from scratch and very rarely have any food waste.
    Make own stocks.
    Don't knit
Second hand clothes don't worry me.
Look after clothes and boot/shoes so they last for ever in general.

I haven't ventured into the washing gloop...the name puts me off.
Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.

I won't buy second hand clothes to save money, eww no way!
A lot of my favourite clothes are from charity shops. I do put them through a wash before wearing, though.

The only thing I won't be doing from reading this thread is the wee cloth business..... I'm sorry but that is just wrong and disgusting. Surely nobody can be THAT stingy or desperate to be resolving to that.

That and walking on certain parts of the carpet/stairs etc. No I have more important things on my mind and worry about than how evenly my carpet is wearing out.
Things have to be replaced eventually and money has to be spent on certain things. I don't have much money but I'm telling you something, I won't have to reach as low as wee cloths.

I do enjoy soup, I buy from charity shops, but not clothes as I am a large size so there's not much of those about, I always look for bargains in the shops.
I do recycle my old dish sponge once it's a bit grubby to use for the bathroom cleaning. Washcloths are rinsed out and hung out to dry again ready for the next use, I won't water down milk etc. But I will be keeping an eye out on the cheap foam bath etc to use in my handwash once it runs out. I never thought of doing that before reading these threads so thanks very much for that tip :T
I'll be sticking to Fairy liquid, I won't compromise on my brand of tea bags, drinking proper coca cola, or other cheap versions for food/drink. You have to be able to enjoy what you eat and drink IMO.

I won't reuse m teabag. Yes if there is 2/3 of us taking a cup of tea I will use one teabag for the 3 of us, but I don't dry them out to use again.

I'm all for saving money and getting a bargain etc but I draw a line at making myself look silly or being stingy. And the day I do start I have given my DH permission to shoot me asap!

This thread has bought up an important point. A lot of people baulk at things like charity shop clothes, using washable cloths for icky jobs etc as they think it makes them look tight/mean with the cash. For me it isn't a money issue at all, it's about stopping being wasteful.

No idea what wee cloths are, but i am imagining all sorts of strange things...can someone enlighten me please?

    I wont:

-Sit inside with hats, gloves and scarf on.
    -Reuse tea bags
    -Scrimp on decent tea bags
-Use chicken carcass to make stock/soup. The electricity used is probably the equivalent of a tin of soup from the supermarket!
    -Mooncup...errr, NO NO NO!!
-I have a breadmaker AND slow cooker...and rarely use either of them

I wont reuse old nickers as cleaning rags, they are just too embarrassing by the time they are too worn out to consider wearing. If I handed them to my son to wipe up a spill, he would faint away. :P
I wont share a bath or shower with OH to save on water, he is all elbows and seems to expand to fit the available space (minds out of the gutter please).
I wont darn socks with the wrong coloured wool (MUM! >( ) unless the darn would be hidden anyway .
I wont buy frozen ready meals, they are usually tiny and full of salt and water and other unidentifiables.
I wont wear hideous fashion has beens just because they are 10p at the jumble ...I guess I would if I was desperate but I would have to be absolutely on my last legs.
