I agree, it was very moving. One tragedy being the couple who lost their child and the other, very saddening, was the girl who gave up her much-desired place at grammar school. After her mother had sold off inherited jewellery to buy her uniform in order for her to go there.
I choose not to watch "Benefits Street" as I had an inkling that the residents were likely to have been stitched up before I saw a frame of footage.0 -

It certainly can be but there are also going to be those using benefits as a short term safety net and doing all they can to be independent again.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.0 -
Because she didn't fit in. Perhaps she wasn't made to feel welcome being from a completely different area with a completely different background. One possible chance for a clever girl from a disadvantaged background to find a way out, and it's gone. Just like that.0
