  • Happy new year and diary, sorry to hear about the flooding we saw a lot as we passed through Shropshire on our way down to South Wales for Xmas. It's been bad up and down the coast here but luckily our town has missed the worst.

Good luck with the budgeting, definitely look at moving those cards to 0% if possible.

Sorry to hear things not good with ex - must be a horrible situation and I can understand how it motivates you to keep going but must get you down too.

    xx

    Good morning :)

Nice to have lots of hossie friends and its not just me that spends absurd amounts of money on them :rotfl:My reckoning is about £250 - £300 a month on the hoss. £182 a month livery, DIY includes water, electricity, stable and daily turnout. Then £20 for farrier every 8 weeks, bale of bedding a week at £7 so thats £28 a month, about £40 a month on hay and hard feed. Vet is £140 a year for annual injections. £25 a time for hossie trainer which try to do 3 times a month, looking at that no wonder I am poor :o This of course doesnt include any unexpected vet bills. Also would like to do some showing this year, in hand, need to get her box trained first but hey another challenge to get over :)

Spendy weekend :( £20 on farrier £65 on bedding and hard feed for hossie, bedding to replace what was flooded out over Xmas so unexpected bill. Then £81 in Tesco but freezer and cupboards fully re-stocked again. Then went out for sunday lunch so £26 spent, could have eaten in but needed to get out and do something.

2 ebay items sold yesterday, one paid and ready for posting today, only about £5 made but all helps. Will redeem weekend spends by few days of no spending and eating out of stores. Got hossie trainer tomorrow but budgeted for.

    Good morning :)

Letter last night from NW CC offering me 0% balance transfer, have enough limit on there to transfer the Sainsburys CC if needs be, need to monitor interest and go from there, saves taking out another card so pleased about that.

Didnt end up being a NSD yesterday, withdrew money from bank, £50 to sister to pay for tickets for her birthday present, £25 for hossie trainer tonight and £25 for yard owner for livery fees over next 2 weeks.

£13 withdrawn from paypal from ebay sales so have sent that to my CC this morning. Am owed £15 from sister so will chase that up tomorrow.

Checked bank today and have £40 left in current a/c excluding the overdraft. Shouldnt need this expense as have plenty of food, fuel etc until payday next friday, may have another hossie trainer session but will fit in under the £40 so will be finally out of my overdraft and in credit each month. Will save me around £5 a month on charges, not excessive but all helps :)
