Carphone warehouse experience days

Comments

  • This has happened to me too.
I was looking at the places to choose from and when I pressed proceed, the session had timed out after 5 minutes and took me back to the main screen and code wouldn't work again.

Just spoke to SWEETE who deal with the deals and they basically just said tuff!!! This is such a massive scam.

Anyone else up for reporting to watchdog?

I logged onto my laptop to look at the very few experience days that were for offer,,put my UNIQUE code in and then my printer ran out of ink and had to connect my laptop...in the meantime my laptop faulted so I had to switch power off and go back on..only to be told I had lost the voucher as you only had one chance to print!!!
I complained and someone from a company called SWEETE called me, a very rude middle aged lady with an Irish accent who constantly interrupted me and told me tough...lost the voucher and that's it. I said its a scam and is it's a UNIQUE code to me that this still should apply..I have saved..downloaded quite a few vouchers/codes and seems strange this is the only one I have had trouble with. I asked for her name said this was a scam and will be going to Trading Standards...she refused to give me her name,,said this had worked for 1000's of customers and hung up on me!!!

I will be taking this further as only went with this offer as the voucher appealed to me for my Husbands birthday...not happy....carphone warheouse don't seem to care either...

My browser crashed during the redemption process.

This means I can't redeem the voucher because doing so would require me to re-enter my voucher code, which is not allowed as per the terms and conditions.

The customer care (hmm!) team have told me, surprise surprise, that their sophisticated super computer cannot handle the 'resetting' of codes so its a case of tough luck buddy.

I'm going to escalate this as this term is just not on. The voucher was only a small bonus as I was going to buy a phone anyway, however it's the bloody principle!
  • What a Con!

Just spent half an hour trying to get the website to take my code - I choose my experience then press proceed - it then takes me a database error page.

This is obviously a con - judging by other comments - totally outrageous - considering how many vouchers must of been handed out.

    Trading Standards will be informed.

I must have been the lucky one - I managed to exchange the two vouchers we had but to be honest the choice was poor
  • Anybody remember the 1992 Hoover Free USA Flights offer? That cost them an estimated £45 million. That was long before the days of the internet and social media sites. Could well be that Carphone Warehouse have hatched their own Turkey with this Xmas offer.
My daughter and myself had exactly the same problems of the website crashing after entering the codes. The offer is probably rubbish but we're even more determined now to make sure we receive it. So Carphone Warehouse, take control of the situation, no one is indestructible, ask Gerald Ratner.

Finally got my voucher after contacting carphone warehouse twice and now when I enter the code and click proceed I also get an error message. The site is obviously a scam and has been designed so that the majority of us can't redeem our vouchers.*****UPDATE*****keep your page open and if you get the error message just click back and keep trying it, took me over an hour before it actually loaded the next page. Still not happy though as in the location list it gives one of the locations for supercar driving as Wigan (closest to me) but when you actually go on to pick your location I didn't get this option. Hopefully a 60 mile drive to Stafford will be worth it instead!!!!
  • Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to : carphone warehouse experience days:mad::mad:

    Google Search

Can't even get on the website to enter voucher details! Tried on different devices - same error message - as above! Anyone else having this problem?
  • Same here. An absolute scam. I entered my unique code, went to the list of suppliers page and, guess what? Surprse, surprise the site crashed and has been inaccessible ever since. This is nothing more than fraud and I will be writing to trading standards about this. I wonder if that's why they used an Irish company - because UK trading standards don't apply there?
