Carphone warehouse experience days

I got a free £100 experience day voucher via Carphone Warehouse for recently getting a new phone. To book it, you apparently need to go onto their website, enter the code, and then pick the experience and print the voucher immediately or lose it forever (my printer is broken so I cannot presently do this).

I can't seem to see the actual venues or experience choices though on their website without doing this.

Has anyone else taken up this offer - if so, is the range of activities good? Does anyone have any info on venues, providers or activities being offered?

  • I have been looking for information myself but so far I've only heard people describe the problems they've had with the site... putting their code in and then getting error messages etc. On the 1st of Jan when the experience day became redeemable I went on CPW Facebook page and people were commenting about the problems but since then I have gone back to the page and can't find the comments or any replies from CPW. On HUKD there is a thread about the experience day offer and people seem to be saying it is a scam and CPW are making it impossible for people to redeem the offer. I wonder if there is anything we can do?
  • I too am hoping to view the experience days before booking as not sure where they are and when available. Hopefully there is a way we can see the offers first, but I can't work out how??
  • But it hasn't been used, I've double checked it and it's within the dates specified by CW.

Almost like they don't want anyone to redeem a voucher...
  • Just tried to print my experience day voucher, having signed up for new contract and phone, put code in,got to next page, chose experience day[clay pidgeon day],clicked on the picture, nothing happened,it stayed on that page, picture highlighted,so then i went back and tried again, then got dreaded phrase already used so ive lost it but not my fault.Trading standards me thinks.:(

I emailed CPW to complain about the process of booking and have had no reply. It seems many others are dissatisfied too:

Also, I've noticed the vouchers are being sold on ebay.
  • I looked at these thinking they would make a good present for me brother.

I would avoid any on eBay, the terms for the vouchers mean you have to turn up with sale documentation to prove you bought it.

Also, it states they are non transferable. Just thought you guys might want to know.
  • I have typed the code in and got an error stating that this code has already been used!
I have emailed customer services and got replay:
Many thanks for getting in touch. I've have reviewed your query and your unique voucher code has already been entered into the website. As per the terms and conditions of this promotion codes can only be entered into the website once.
Unfortunately Asta, your voucher code cannot now be used again
If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact us.

I wasn't suggesting selling them on ebay - in fact I'm more horrified that people are flogging them as the vouchers are clearly rubbish.

Aside, this thread has a lot of new posters?

I've got my voucher to use too.

I've not entered the code yet but you would think they would show what venues there are before making your mind up!

Anyone hactually had any luck doing this?

Looks like people are googling and it is throwing this thread up hence the new members posting.
