    Such a lovely couple;)

One of Britain's best-known landlords has issued eviction notices to every tenant who is on welfare, and told letting agents that he will not accept any more applicants who need housing benefit.

Fergus Wilson, who with his wife Judith owns nearly 1,000 properties around the Ashford area of Kent, has sent the eviction notices to 200 tenants, saying he prefers eastern European migrants who default much less frequently than single mums on welfare. He says the move is purely an economic decision and points out that private landlords are running a business.

And I am totally with Fergus, these morally corrupt layabouts show no respect for anything and want something for free while many work 14 hours a day for the same. I would love workhouse to return. all this complaining about Brexit and nobody being able to pick the fruit while we are spending £10,s Billion on idle layabouts with endless kids.

There has never been an era where debt has been so easily available and are there schemes to help FTB's like GH said that are coming out of ears. And here is a little secret for people not able to get on that first step, many decent homes have 3 bedrooms which means technically they can home 3 couples on SIX salarys, many of the Polish are doing it.
Fergus saw the opportunties and grabbed them with both hands, and there are still many out there.
Fergus is a throw back to better times and old values.
1, he is a loyal a good husband, it's not all about looks
2, He lets his fists do the talking and has no time for PC
3, He hates mass immigration and layabouts

The sooner we get dozens more like Fergus into Government the better, but he is to good for that. All this fuss about him putting a few quid on rents when rates went up(good business), going on local rates his properties rents are probably 30% too low. There should be a statue for that man down the road at Canterbury
    It wouldn't last long.

If he wasn't so nasty to his tenants I'd be first in the queue to pat him on the back.

No it's a website with people who have varied views where you could probably learn more. Or you could go to HPC.com, hear one WRONG view and waste 15 years of your life as they suggest you wait it out still and waste another 15 years.
At worse the housing market is going to flatline for a year before it takes off again and probably doubles in the next 5 years.

No problem with the website, a lot of useful information, but this particular sub-forum is the exception that proves the rule.

I was talking about this website, MSE, mostly useful information, except for this sub-forum, which is probably why it's hidden from guests, so's not to scare them off before they even join.

If you really want to talk about HPC, which I didn't, there's a lot of useful information in the BTL scum thread.

    Says it all "btl scum"
There are a few million of those btl scum as you call them housing goodness knows how many families, people I might add who would not be able to survive in the non btl world you probably so much want. Can you imagine if all of them packed it in tomorrow, where would those millions of families live, answer me that.

The funniest day I have experienced on here was when they all thought that the guy had made 250 million free and clear on his properties, they actually believed it! It is obviously what the half-dozen or so regulars that haunt this strange little space aspire to, but they fell back to earth when it become obvious that the guy is still fixing boilers (or maybe not fixing them?) and squaring up to tenants. :rotfl:
