I really must do onepoll. Sigh I'm about half way through too.
There's a fair bit coming up at the moment - I've been surprised, I've easily hit my 50p a day target - I'm slightly ahead at the moment in fact.I couldn't get the link for One Poll to work on the iPad. The laptop is back from the repair shop now though so I intend to try it on there this evening
They used to have a specific iPad/iPhone app, but it's no longer in use I don't think. Shame too as the surveys there were always better than the website ones!
Just had the email with the final bill from British Gas - £6.90 to pay so my decision to cancel the DD was entirely correct - oddly enough I had a feeling I was right on that, and they were wrong!paid straight away, and the account now shows zero - I've downloaded all the old bills and saved them, so I have the info to compare in future years - I impress myself sometimes! :rotfl::A
Another 35p so far today on OnePoll - not added to my total above or in sig yet.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Popped out for a walk, fresh air and sunshine at lunchtime - only 15 minutes but helps to boost the step count. I'm parked a mile from the office today as well - that helps - 2,500 steps each way.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Oh, EH I have been meaning to come onto your thread for like forever to tell you about a book that I read that I thought might be just your cup of tea. I'm not too sure if you like the travel writing genre, but this may well appeal to you, as about a third of the book covers his travels in the Hebrides. Even if you've not done the walks yourself, you will know of the landscape; the people, the colours of the sky, the stone, the sounds etc. I also actually liked his description of a boat journey as a 'pathway' - very interesting angle. In addition, he walked the 'Broomway' in Essex, although I found myself bristling at the cavalier attitude him and his chum took to that - the tide is not to be meddled with, if folks say you've 3 hrs or whatever, then you've 3 hrs, not 4 or 3.5.
Anyway, don't know if you've read it - or would want to read it, but it certainly covers areas that you are interested in
I got my copy out of the library. I don't like his writing as much as his mentor, Roger Deakin, but it was a good read none the less
Hope MrEH is on the mend........

Oh, I read The Old Ways too, I loved it. I have a bit of a thing for long distance walks, books about them anyway, I haven't actually managed one yet.
A retired vicar that I know and her husband have done a series of walks and have just finished Dover to Carlisle so there is hope for me yet.

I've read it too and loved it - I promptly bought my mother a copy for Christmas and she's now happily recommending it to all her friends. One of my neighbours makes a small cameo appearance in another of his books, The Wild Places.0

That looks like a fantastic book - thanks Greying for the original tip and Lemanie and Caz for the backup recommendations! I do love a good travel book I must admit - two of my favourites that have been read and re-read are Bill Bryson's "Notes from a Small Island" and Paul Theroux "The Kingdom by the Sea" - and I saw the play of "Notes..." at the Edinburgh Festival some years ago, with Steve Steen playing Bryson - it was basically done as a monologue and was superb! :T
Lemanie (welcome by the way) I know exactly what you mean about the long distance walk thing - we've set ourselves a challenge this year to do a few of them, in stages - more info on my blog (link in profile) if you're interested. We've completed the length of our local canal already - and are working on the London stretch of the Thames Path - so not "mega-long" distances, but it's a starting point!
MrEH has sheepishly admitted that *actually* he *might* not have picked up quite the injury he said it was when he first did it...I'm unsure whether he genuinely thought he'd torn the muscle, or what, but the fact is that it's healing far too fast to actually be a tear...which is naturally rather a relief. He's still limping, and will be seeing the rugby club physio tonight for a proper verdict, so hopefully Steve will either refer him for sports massage, or will ultrasound it, but either way it looks like we should be able to have a *mostly* normal holiday.:j The two week ban on playing ahead of going away still applies though for future years.

Definitely getting there - today should be another NSD, and I should also squidge another extra hour of work in there too, although that will be that for this week, but I can almost certainly do the balance next week - fingers crossed.
Sausages are out and defrosting in the fridge for sausage wraps tonight - that will also use up the last fresh pepper from the fridge, and one of the onions in the larder. The other half of the rhubarb crumble is sitting waiting for tonight, too.

Oh, meant to say - I'm counting yesterday as a NSD in spite of paying that amount owing for the gas - as normally there would have been a DD going out for that, but of course it was cancelled, but I don't count stuff that gets paid automatically for utilities etc as "spends" in that way.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Sausage wraps were lovely!
Not *quite* what Sharwoods envisaged when they came up with the idea, I suspect, but it worked for us, so all good.
Other than that - another NSD achieved yesterday, making it 7 this month so far. Over £1 on OnePoll yesterday too, and I see there's already a 20p one waiting for me this morning although I may yet get screened out. Did an extra 1.5 hours of working yesterday too - I've now only got half an hour to do to make up the half-day from next Thursday, and 2 hours to do to make up another entire extra day at full chargeable rate. :T
I do have a bit of a dilemma - I've had an email this morning inviting me to the MSE focus group in London tomorrow. As you might remember it pays £50, but having not heard anything by yesterday (the original response to the application said they'd inform those invited by "the middle of next (ie this) week") I've pretty much committed to head to Lincolnshire for a day of photographing Hurricanes and Typhoons - yes, that's the aviation version rather than the weather anomalies. Arghhh - have to make a decision and don't know what to choose!I'd love to do the MSE thing, but I'd equally love to do the photography, and the weather looks STUNNING for that - which may in the end have to be the decider - would I rather on a lovely sunny day be sitting in an office talking about websites and filing in questionnaires, or watching rather beautiful WW2 planes and jets looping around overhead?

Ooh tough decision. The MSE thing looks pretty good and it is £50 towards your OP pot but at the same time you love your aviation stuff. (Sorry there must be a better word than stuff) if the weather is going to be good then you will get fab photos. Would there be a possibility of selling some to offset the money you would lose from the focus group? Something to think about maybe??
You are also flying with the NSD's. Are you and Cheery in competition??
I finally signed up to 1poll and am up to £5.50 already :T I know a lot of that was the "answer these so we know what surveys to send you" type but I am hoping that I'll have a few more today too.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000
