:rotfl::rotfl: Caz - yep, pretty much.
I probably *should* have obeyed my instincts and said "I'd rather you didn't play" but I try very hard never to do that - it HAS to be his decision really. For future years however, the goalposts (no pun intended) have now moved to no rugby for a full fortnight before we go...he's now aware of this...
Starnac - complete and utter - remind me again, why do we put up with them?! :rotfl:
OK
- office day today - 15 minutes extra worked so far, will try to get in another hour tonight, shouldn't be a problem.
- Trying for another NSD - can think of no reason why that shouldn't be achievable.
- Food tonight will be Jackets, sweetcorn fritters, and salad.
Tonight's jobs:
Make veggie cannelloni for tomorrow's dinner
Make muffins or flapjacks for breakfasts
Vacuum-based dust-rearrangement
Make a batch of crumble topping...and indeed a crumble. (Rhubarb!)
Fridge survey - there is stuff I want to use up before holiday, I need a list, MrEH can probably do this, he's reasonably reliable on such things.
Meal plan this week is flexible - there is a list of meals, and each one will be eaten on one day or another. Friday will be a fry-up, which means Thursday will be something with bacon, although I have a feeling MrEH is out so the pasta, bacon, mushrooms and stilton sauce might end up being all mine.
Right, I will pop into Greying's and Pippi's threads quickly, then crack on - happy day (and indeed week) all! :T🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Honestly, EH, what an eejit! If Mr Mooo did that I'd be fizzing. A knackered knee would be the least of it - he would be singing soprano0
-
Oh dear EH! Poor Mr EH (and poor you!) Mr Cheery had hurt his leg last time we went to Orkney and it did result in a rather more 'gentle' holiday than usual - lots of limping to tea shops and sitting in the car watching the sea, but we still had a lovely time, just a bit different
Hopefully you will too (although I quite understand why you're vexed!)
Good work on the printer!
Ours must be an Inkjet one - tis about 10 years old I think and I've had no trouble using compatible cartridges with it, thank goodness!
Have you tried getting rid of your old one on Freegle or something? Someone might have the know-how to fix it, or be able to use it for bits. It's amazing what people want!0 -
I had thought of sticking it on Freecycle Cheery - just slightly concerned about getting the message across that yes, original toner might fix it, but then again it *might* not. I think what we might do is stick it in the communal binstore tonight with a note on it explaining EXACTLY what the score is - then it's got a week for someone to take it, or not, before the bin men will come along again.
I'd forgotten that about Mr Cheery too - there was a lot of it about at that time as Pippi was just recovering from her time in the artifical legif I remember rightly, and MrEH had also done something similar not long before....he's not accident prone, as such, just....over-enthusiastic, sometimes! :rotfl:
Mooo - if you could have seen me on Saturday evening, you'd have seen that I shared your thoughts on the matter exactly! He's had precisely NO sympathy, as that's the rules with rugby injuries - they come under the heading of "self-inflicted" :rotfl:
Starnac - see, you can't come up with an answer, either!Good job we love 'em really, eh?!
Finally got one SurveyNetwork survey earlier, so that's done, now to wait and see if it tracks. OnePoll still trotting along nicely too - got another 2 x 15p ones from them earlier - I'd forgotten how nicely that one builds up when you remember to check regularly!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Groceries should be fine
Half way there on the NSD's, AND the hours worked - I should be able to do at least an hour and 15 minutes tomorrow one way or another, and hopefully the same again on wednesday, and then to manage the last 2.5 hours next week is very achievable.
Planning for another NSD tomorrow - and maybe one over the weekend. We've got some tickets to book though, and at some stage need to book hotels/parking for our New Year trip too. I *might* be able to leave the tickets until Thursday, in which case there is no reason why Wednesday couldn't be a NSD too.
Food tonight was the planned Jackets, salad, corn fritters, and I've remembered to make the cannelloni (vegetable chilli cannelloni to be exact, utilising a pot of HM ratatouille from the freezer, and a tin each of kidney beans and chopped tomatoes from the cupboard). Bit of smoked paprika, and some smoked chilli flakes, and it's smelling gorgeous!I'm being inventive again for wednesday using a Y/S'd pack of Sharwoods "hoi-sin wraps" - paid about 50p a pack for them a while ago - they're meant to be done with Duck, but I see no reason why cooked sliced sausages won't work as well.....?

Duck/sausages it's all Happily substituted to wrap in a pancake and slathered in sauce I'd say.
Much better than trying to set them free in the local pond and feeding them bread. I don't think sausages swim as well as ducks can.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Excellent point - right, sausage wraps for tomorrow night it is then!
15 minutes extra work clocked up so far, and aiming for today being another NSD - can't think why it couldn't be. I have reminded myself of a couple of books I wanted, but I *might* be able to do those via PayPal money (not sure if something that should have gone into there, has done yet) in which case it's not real money so doesn't count.
Food:
Tonight: Veg Chilli cannelloni
Tomorrow: Sausage wraps
Thursday: MIGHT be out at speedway, but if not, pasta, bacon, sauce
Friday: Fry up
Saturday: If not consumed on Thursday night, Pasta, Bacon, sauce.
All good. Off to check OnePoll...🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
