I can't keep up this month.
Our finances are to pot, I've just been diagnosed with PND and I'm just not coping well at all.
Good luck to everyone else this month but I think I need to take a break. Constantly worrying about money isn't helping and my mum said she's help so she's doing a big 'easy but healthy' food shop for us today to tide us over.
xx

LadyLuck1 take care of yourself
Ended up picking up a lettuce last night at the small Sainsbob's down the road as I was nipping in for chocolate and lemons (different budget - treats) so have added the extra £1.00 to my sig
NSD today which is incredible as I have been to a fantastic market near my parents - dad bought stuff and I didn't! Also been to home bargains but again different budget************************************
Daughter born 26/03/14

Had a crappy day and ended up going to Sainsbugs to get coffee (almost necessary) and cake (definitely not). Spent £2.74 and rationalising that the tub says it'll make 50 cups of coffee, and that's for less than 1 coffee at Starbucks would have cost me... So could have been worse, but leaves me with about £6 til April. And my 4 pints of milk magically became 1 today after the carton cracked and dribbled milk into the bottom of my fridge all day before I noticed.
So with that £6 need to buy milk, flour (for hm bread rolls), something to put in rolls for lunches next week, and veg. Argh. Trying to keep in mind that January I spent £130, Feb £100 (plus £5 borrowed from this month) and that this month I only have £80 to play with, it is not supposed to be easy...New graduate trying to get debt-free.

Applesauce banana muffins..... Tell me more!
Here's the recipe: (I love it because there are no eggs and no oil, can easily be made vegan and gluten free as well)
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 cup unsweetened applesauce
4 medium bananas - mashed
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup sugar
2 cups flour
Preheat oven to 170C. Mash bananas in a bowl. Add applesauce, cinnamon, baking soda, baking powder and sugar. Mix well. Add flour and mix. Lightly grease a loaf pan and place batter into pan. Bake for 60 minutes.
To make muffins, use muffin tins and cook for 25-30 minutes.
I freeze my bananas when they are on the verge of funkiness, they mash easier that way - after they are thawed of course.
I make my own applesauce - peel and dice apples and place them into a slow cooker with a bit of water and cook, then squish. I make a couple big batches during the fall and can them and process them so that they last for the year.
I also make my own baking powder - 1 tsp baking soda, 2 tsp cream of tartar. Mix.
The muffins are in the back (obviously), cottage pie in the back, chicken pot pie (with pour on crust) in the front on the right, and the Santa Fe style rice and beans in the front on the left.0 -

You look after yourself too Soworried.
Bluegreen absolutely beautiful photographs. Congratulations.
Thanks Mrs _T_M for the recipe.
Gone over my budget but only have to the 22nd left.
I added a few extra spends to it other than groceries otherwise would probably have just come under so I'm quite happy with it.Official DFW Nerd Club Member no:219In the Court Of The Crimson KingI don't believe in the concept of hell, but if I did I would think of it as filled with people who were cruel to animals.Gary Larson0 -

Brill! I might give this a go. I have a jar of Apple sauce in the fridge. Do you think that will work? Also, am I being daft? What is baking soda?
Sorry! My silly American upbringing is coming through. Baking soda = bicarbonate of soda. Exact same thing, just the British use the chemical name for it and Americans use the common name for it.
The apple sauce should work no problem. I've used all kinds of applesauce in it from all sorts of apples.0
