Spent £17.80 in Lids today. Got veg and bananas which were on the list but OH put some bits in the basket which I didn't know he needed such as shaving gel. He wanted a lids frozen Indian meal and said he would pay. When we got to the checkout he put his beers through which he pays for and then the Indian on my pile so it was obvious he had changed his mind about paying for it so I made an excuse and put it back in the freezer cabinet. I have my meals planned for the month and although willing to change if it doesn't cost me I wasn't willing to pay for a ready meal on a whim when we didn't need it. Hard Ches.

Skim reading as couldn't get on MSE yesterday, was it just me??

Bluegreen, congrats on your wedding, very devoted thinking of GC on your honeymoon

Newthrift, I was also going to suggest some veggie meals - beans and chickpeas are very filling and good on the pocket too.

Lidl shop today leaves me with £78.51/£180 left till month end. Got to pick up some more bits from Sainsburys tomorrow as Lidl was particularly desolate in the chilled veg section today.

Have added the weetabix brownie, rice crispy chicken, bagel, ginger cake, vegetable bake and pour on pie crust recipes from earlier this thread to the index :)

Thanks for the congratulations everyone :DFlo - my OH is indeed very tall, he's 6 foot 4, I'm only 5 foot (was wearing massive heels in the picture :rotfl:) so a pretty big height difference :)

Back from Japan after more than 26 hours straight travelling, went to bed at 3pm and just woke up so may have turned nocturnal :o feel tired though so will go back to bed in a couple of hours and hope I sleep through til a reasonable morning time.

Just me & kidlets 1&2 tonight, think I might do something really easy (naughtily) basic ... ham & cheese toasties with salad it is! Just need to pick up some more bread as used the last of it on breakfast this morning. It's annoying having to top up shop one item. I hope I can hold my nerve - get the bread, pay, get out

Just been down to A!di to get milk for DS1 (about to update sig), and discovered they've dropped the price of their 4pt containers - it appears the war of the milk is back on, as now the big supermarkets all seem to have dropped to £1, A!di have dropped theirs to 95p.

£43.81 on Tesc* order. This included a 38 wash bottle of Daz which i was desperate for. So now i can plough through the washing today whilst it's nice out; before I am back at work tomorrow.

I definitely do not need anything now except possibly fruit. I have bought long life milk whilst on offer too, so won't even need my usual 1% milk.

Please somebody cyber slap me if I buy anything that's not absolutely desperate.
