Hi can I join in please? Could you put me down for £250.
Really need to get to grips again with planning meals and menu shopping before it spirals again like last month!
My month ahead starts today. The £250 includes all grocery's and any other bits and bobs on top of that.
Off to catch up with last months thread for some ideasOfficial DFW Nerd Club Member no:219In the Court Of The Crimson KingI don't believe in the concept of hell, but if I did I would think of it as filled with people who were cruel to animals.Gary Larson0 -
First spend of my first ever GC to report. DH and I popped into sainsbugs to get some bits for the kids whilst its 25% off clothing. We got 2 pairs of jeans for ever growing DS which were £5 in the sale then had a further £1.25 off, and some baby grows for DD which after reductions cost £4.50 for 3 (this comes out of a separate budget), anyway, whilst in there I spotted a huge shoulder of lamb YS to £4 and some braising steak ys to £1.79 so we got those and some sub rolls ys to 24p per 4pack , some beer for DH and a gingerbread man for DS. Groceries came to £11.70. Signature has been updated. I need to do my proper shop tomorrow but only need some fruit/salad, milk and cheese so shouldn't be too big a spend. After that I need to avoid the shops for as long as possible and get some NSD's under my belt.

Can you put me down for £250 please.
It's a five week month for me and goes from Saturday 22nd February to Friday28th March.
I've certainly learned a lot this past month and am hoping to come in under budget on my second month.
I'm also going to try for 25 NSD's out of 25 (Mon-Fri for 5 weeks) and lunch to work 25/25. My main failing on this is that on Thursday or Friday I go to make lunch and have moldy bread, so am going to freeze half the loaf and make sure I remember to take it out of the freezer on a Wednesday :T
I hope you all have a lovely weekend...............

First spend of the month, £55 in aldee. I will need to go to mr t tomorrow to return something and get some toiletries as I forgot to get shampoo and conditioner in aldee:mad:, and can't get the other toiletries I need in aldee. Why does everything run out at the same time?
Most of today's shop will last at least 2 weeks but will send DH with a list to get some fresh bits to top next week. He is good as will stick to the list which is more than I do:o
I have some apples in the front bowl that are a bit soft so will turn then into something this weekend to use them up. I saw a nice recipe for a toffee apple pudding on another thread I might try.
I am going to use cash for the rest of the month as it really focuses my mind on how much I have left to spend.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
