Could you please put me down for $300 for March? I'll be switching to calendar months once Feb is over
I'd like to get it under $250 but am wary of overdoing it :rotfl:
This includes all groceries, toiletries, any medications, house stuff, eating out and birthdays (except for family ones, they're budgeted separately).March 2020 grocery challenge $921.76/$500AU

New thread! Thanks zippy.
Spent about £90 last month with two meals out included, so going for £80 this month as am staying in a B&B for a few days so need to buy lunches/dinners out and have a weekend away with the OH too.
Moving closer to a Sainsbugs this month, debating paying for delivery from Tesco instead but not sure I spend enough for it to be worth it. Might coerce the flatmate into driving instead.New graduate trying to get debt-free.

Thank you for starting the new month!
My grocery weeks run from Saturday to Friday, so as of the 1st I'm over here for a 5 weekend month.
We've been topping up our pantry to earn 2 sets of Morris vouchers over the last 3 weeks, so next weekend we'll spend £60 to get £80 of goodies. Hopefully our February of 'topping up' will mean we're ready for 4 cheaper shops at the end of March and lots of staples ready for when baby arrives.
Good luck everyone!0 -
Thank you for putting up with us all for another month. I will try again for £60 for March which runs from today until 21st March so just 4 weeks. I confess to having cheated a bit/got bored and used the Asda gift card a few times which skewed my February results so I have added £10 which I think would cover things.
The first March spends today were £11.77 and quite a lot of that was toothpaste on offer. Also three pounds worth of YS items which I estimate will feed 10 portions, all now cooking or frozen. I will leave toothpaste and other toiletries in but not wine, which is another budget. I think I could feed myself for months on what I have in stock, but I would need shopping aversion therapy first!Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

Oops I did it again
A huge chunk of my budget gone in just 2 days  I do this every month and then I worry sick that I will not last until pay day.
I have bought a lot of things to last the whole month though, I have a full months toiletries and cleaning stuff plus the full months foil and food bags and cupboard things like corned beef, tinned hams and gravy granules, stock cubes, rice and pasta type foods.
Once Monday comes I stop spending and get a few NSD days under my belt :A£36/£240

Please can I join you, I realised when looking through my bank statement we've been spending a ridiculous amount in tesco asda and sainsburies, my biggest mistake is popping in for milk and spending about £20 on stuff I would like not stuff we need. I'm going to aim for £225 for the month which goes from payday to payday so 27 th feb until 28th march to feed me, DH and LB who is 22 months. This will include all toiletries, nappies etc. any money left at the end of the month will go towards paying off extra from cc so want to save as much as poss.Planning to be debt free by 11/20.
