Hi, I've had my first spend this month as I popped into Morrisons to see what was on offer and to pick up some of their tuna....4 tins for £2.50! I haven't seen tuna that cheap for a long time so I got 12 tins.
To be honest, most of the shop was for my daughter and grandchildren as they are struggling a little bit but I'm going to count it as part of my food budget anyway. So £44.26 added to my siggie.0 -
Spent £2 in Poondland on foil containers and £21.92 in Mr S. We don't see much in yellow stickers stuff around here but I did grab 2 large packets of mince for £7 38p which I divided into 7 x 8oz packets and froze. I also got 2 steak burgers reduced to £2.19 so with what I already have in the freezer I shouldn't need any more meat this month. In fact I can't think of anything else we will need except milk and fresh fruit and veg.Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot. :think:0

Hi all,
Budgets list updated to here
Welcome to:
clarkey1000, Tillytrotter1, frooglefraggle and claireyfairy82
Good luck all.
Couple of small spends to report. £3.65 in C**p on milk, Freddos and sandwich thins. £2.65 in greengrocers on a mahoosive cauli, broccoli and some potatoes.
Tonight we had roast pork, roasties, yorkies, cauli cheese and savoy cabbage. It was nom. I roasted the meat this afternoon and sliced and reheated it. It was a real timesaver this evening as DS2 has cubs and leaves at 6pm. Feeling stuffed now!
Tomorrow I need to pop into town and will pick up more milk (only got 4 pints today as was on foot), butter (completely out of butter due to yesterday's marathon baking session) and soap/deodorant (although these come out of 2nd purse).
Have a good evening all.

Also baked large tray of cornbeef pie which has done tea and ill do for dinner tomorrow. Made it with waffles and sweetcorn (odd combination but kids asked for it). Also baked 2 dozen cakes, some jam tarts and some lemon curd tarts. Never got round to making caramel shortbread as I was babysitting my nephew but i think i made enough sweet stuff for today!
Looked in the fridge and will probably need milk tomorrow. Will see how it goes

NSD today after £11.70 spend at Lid! yesterday. Bought £7 worth of veg seeds so they should pay back big style. Amazing value at £1 and £2 for five ( depending on seed type) resisted the pots of tete a tete daffs on the grounds they are not edible.
Will be eating mainly vegetarian this month while OH is away. Need to get my thinking cap on for variety ( don't eat cheese) Indian dishes high on the list of favourites.GC Feb £95.45/£1000 -
