I am just moving over from January. I was on budget but still using vouchers to stock up so ending the month with a rammed freezer again. I want to reduce the freezer down this month to make room for a meat order from an online butcher. So can you please put me down for a "challenging" £200for February.
Thanks coxy:)Grocery challenge: dec 294/280, January 250/250, February 168/200:T march 258/2600 -
Hi
Can i join this month please? My budget for the 2 adults, 1 baby and a cat will be £300 this month. I tried doing the January challenge with a £250 budget but i'll end the month being over sadly, not sure we can cut too much more out.

However......... I needed some bits and bobs and ended up spending £45.45 in Sainsbury tonight. In my defence:o I did buy X 3 aerial liquid for £10 ( and they're usually £7.50 each) , Large Sure deodorants are all half price. The price match told me I saved £21.26 shopping there. Although I'm not sure these are very accurate!
Although I've spent loads this week I'm hoping that my amount will even out over the months?? God, I'm useless at this,
NO NO you are not useless at this, you have to look at the bigger picture and its not a failure to go over to get a good bargain, 3 x aerial liquid for 10 would have cost 22.50 WOW, not going to use them all this month are you.Slimming World at target0 -

sounds like your stocking up on things you will use over time. it will give you a few spare pennys over time. your not useless at it. you haven't by the sounds of it gone into a shop and picked up everything. you thought about it. well done. :T0 -
well, the meal plan for last week went completely out the window - back to work with a seriously understaffed kitchen on Thursday......
About to do a quick stocktake and see what sort of meals I can scare up this week.DFW Nerd no 239.....Last Personal Debt paid off Nov 2012!

We had YS sausages out of the freezer for tea (80p for 8) with sprouts, broccoli, red cabbage, roast potatoes & gravy. DDs & DH had tinned rice pudding for dessert.
Today was meant to be a NSD but whilst out purchasing ingredients for my Dad's surprise birthday cake (different budget), I couldn't help getting coffee, milk & 2 YS meals! :)Then, on way home from rounding up DDs, I had to have the dreaded, but necessary, women's check (smear) so I indulged myself afterwards by purchasing a bottle of wine!

Can I amend my budget please?
I'm doing the NSK challenges on the DFW board and it's a calendar month. It's too confusing tracking everything on a two-month basis, so I'm going for £180 starting from February 1st!0 -

What I do when I get a bulk buy is divide by length of time it's likely to last. In your case because you got 3 bottles I would divide the cost by 3 and deduct from monthly budget for each of the next 3 months, ie £3.33 per month for Feb, Mar & April.
Perhaps you could do this too?
