Yes please, have been trying to get logged back on to reply to you all. For me the month starts on Thursday when we get shopping delivered. I think we could have probably lasted longer but I have the tesco saver delivery thing and get tues to thurs free delivery so had to do it for then. Looking back over the last month and several weeks of not buying groceries (just milk and bread) I realise that although we meal plan there's a lot of little odds and ends that don't get fully used each month. This month we're going to do three weeks of meal plans (using resourcefulcook.com) and then a week of using up spare veggies etc. I hope that will reduce our food waste to zero.
On another note my boots gave up on me today. We have been walking more instead of using the car and today my feet got soaked. Not sure about how to solve this one as we're so tight at the moment. I gave money saved for clothing each year but it's really minimal and I'm not sure of what to do with less than ten pounds to buy some boots. If anyone has any advice please let me know as I currently have no footwear!0 -

Count me in again please £200
Did really well last month, so hoping I can keep it up. I don't post everyday as I often don't have anything useful to contribute but I do enjoy reading everyone else's posts
Just had my big payday shop delivered, so that's £103.82 gone already:eek::eek:
Remainder has to last us until 28th feb. Totally doable:rotfl:0 -

Last year I organised a clothes swap. Got together with a dozen friends, supplied nibbles and a few drinks and provided somewhere for people to change and see themselves in a mirror. We had great fun and I now have a new wardrobe of clothes and footwear and have passed on some of the things I felt were too good for a charity shop. Win win all round. Might be worth a try.GC Feb £95.45/£1000 -

Now that bf is back there is a few bits I will need to get in; fizzy pop for example.
I will go on my lunch today and get the following:
* fizzy pop x2
* milk
* crisps for bfs lunches
* sandwich bags
Likely to be around £5 so not so bad actually, it will just be whatever fizzy pop is on offer as I will get his preference when he actually takes me to a supermarket!
Looking in the freezer last night and we have maybe a dozen meals and a few snacks I could do with cooking to make some space. We have an upright freezer (narrow as part of an American style fridge/freezer) which seems to get cluttered quickly. How does everyone organise theirs?!
Tomorrow I'm going to buy what we need for the weekend, so far the list goes:
* lettuce
* malt loaf
* wraps
*bananas
We already have ham, cheese, cereal bars, apple, oranges, squash, lurpack. Last time the hotel had a bunch of those mini mullerlights at breakfast and I lifted a couple of those for us - the hotel actually suggested it as they had quite a few with a short date!
I have a little picnic set which is a cheese knife, sharp knife, two sets of cutlery and two small chopping boards which I will take with us for easy food prep. Have to say, even though I tried to get everyone to pay and settle up with me last time I'm glad nit to be feeding everyone else this time. It was so stressful buying it and transporting it all to the tournament plus we ended up ith loads left (not a bad thing you might say but I deliberately bought just enough for us all to have the equivalent of a 'packed' lunch each day and bought loads of it back!)
Might even make some pasta salad to take for me this time! Luckily bf's mum lends us her plug in cool box. All this Definitely saves us money, effort and time whilst away as we both know we have healthy food we like on tap :-)
Will update on spends later.************************************
