Have you considered buying terry nappies? After the initial costs all you really need to allow for is nappy liners and they are much cheaper than Pampers.Hi twigpig...we are two adults and a two year old and our budget is £175 with another £50 for eating out and another £10-ish for nappies. So I think your thought of £250 is spot on.It's really easy to default to cynicism these days, since you are almost always certain to be right.0 -
I'm declaring under budget by £28 :T:j I can't believe it. I had such a bad start to the month the first 2 weeks. I was really saved by ys

I still have some mince, a full chicken and some oxtail towards next month.
Good luck everyone and I'll keep reading x

Well, well we're nearly there now. I've just done the last big shop of the month and so far £156.90/£200 so i should come in under budget unless I really go off track this week!
I'm shocked at how easy it has been to come in under £25 per week per head at least for this month. All my friends and colleagues said it couldn't be done.February GC 173/200

Twigpig - we are two adults, a 3 yr old (only in nappies at night) and a cat. I generally set a £200 budget and managed to stay within budget for the first time last month and hope to do so again for Feb.
Ikesmummy, that's seriously impressive planning a whole month's meals. I find doing a weekly one quite a chore. We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -
Been reading all the posts and am eager to join for march's challenge when it is up and running. Even though I work at one of the major supermarkets and receive staff discount, I still look at all the other supermarkets around for bargins. Got quite abit in my fridge and freezer to work through and have a lot of home baking to do with ingredients in my cupboard.x:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.000
