Dog has to go into the vets as he has injured his back leg which means the last of the money for the food budget will likely be used to pay for that. We have some food in the fridge and freezer but not sure how far it will stretch until pay day 28th Feb. Saving grace is that I am visiting family in Lake District for the last week so DH only has to feed himself. Will do a stock take over the weekend, i may have to post some on here for meal ideas. I also think I used the last of the meat last week  DH will not be amused that he may be forced to eat veggie food. He is an out and out carnivore.
Thinking that next month I may do a stock up shop from my local butchers as have just found out that they deliver although min spend is £100. This amount of meat should last us ages meaning that I can significantly cut the budget and stock up on cupboards basics and maybe a few treats.
So sorry about your dog, its just a thought but my friend was really skint when her cat needed to go to the Vet and they allowed her to pay in instalments, might be worth asking. Good luck.Slimming World at target0 -
More spends for thr next week today. Mainly on fresh and a bit of mince. Just next week to go but me n dh are away for his bday so want to get some yum food in. Also need to leave full makings of meals for home as my mum is here looking after 2 sprogs. Hmm. Think will end up tight but we will hope n see x0

I had a large spend of £20+ the last two days. Most of it was on veg, milk and a veg top up. I should make it through to next Friday with spending very little. The only thing I can think I need is carrots.£36/£240

Went to the supermarket tonight to pick up bits for tea but bf decided that as he is on a healthy kick he would stock up to stop him sneaking sweet treats and so he paid for the lot! I have sent him some money to cover two new oven trays and some meat I put in the trolley.
Got a 3 for £10 of meat and got:
450g stewing steak
4 large frying steaks
25 beef meatballs(!!)
Will take it out of food budget as should only need bananas and squash now to get through till pay day :-) the other bits that made their way in to the trolley come from the treat/personal budget************************************

So, third week of my first go at the challenge. I have £88 pounds left for the rest of the month and I have only have one more big shop to do - I hope to come in somewhat under budget.
Tomorrow, we are going to hunker down with toasted hot cross buns, a fire and a good DVD whilst the weather storms around us.February GC 173/200

Valentines meal - HM Fish Pie + roasted veggies - courgette/white onions/celery/tomatoes. Fish Pie was made with some fish pie mix - lurking in freezer - added 4 hard boiled eggs + Mr Asdo value peas + pint of HM white sauce. Mr F was happy. Made enough for 10 portions so 4 tubs of 2 portions going in freezer - cost of Fish Pie - £4.20 so 42p a portion.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Spent £5.71 in A$da today and managed to get some rtc sprouts. Rarely find reduced stuff so quite pleased.
I will not be wanting any veg tomorrow like we normally get as have in a cabbage, leeks, sprouts, cauli, red peppers, onions, carrots, broccoli, mushrooms potatoes plus lettuce, celery, radish, cucumber, lemons, limes, oranges, apples, pears and bananas. probably more but that's all I can think of at moment.
Tonight we had cheese stuffed chicken breasts wrapped in bacon with few hm oven chips, roasted onions & tomatoes with some garlic bread. Was really nice and thoroughly enjoyed it.MARCH £62.38/2500 -
