Another bag to CS shop today. Tile trim going on freecycle. Why put wrong size in loft is beyond me. Need to stop saving things for a raining day. We buy again as have no idea what is in loft.

I'd also washed all DS3's pillows and put his quilt on the line (he was very cross) so had to unpack old pillows and single quilts for him and gf. Don't want to bin them but they aren't very good condition - any ideas?

My local cash4clothes takes (with no payment) old sheets/curtains/duvet covers and duvets/pillows for local vets or dogs home or if there's a vet/dog home/pet adoption centre etc near you I'm sure they'd be grateful for them.

You've reminded me that I have 3 old duvets shut away in the spare room waiting to be taken. I shall endeavor to get that done this weekend!

Shed got sorted today, forgot how big it actually is and new have a dedicated area for my gardening stuff. Also started on the garden by prepping some of my veg planters ready, pruned everything that needs pruning and transplanted a three year old apple tree from pot to ground. It got too cold to stay out longer so will finish the rest of the planters and transplant the send tree on the weekend.

Also made a start on one of the spare bedrooms, three bags filled for CS and even though the room is still cluttered the bed is clear and made.

Just as we are finally (four years living here) getting completely settled with plans to stay longterm after landlord told us before xmas he wants us as longterm tenants, can't sell for at least five years but when he does we get first offer. He has now told us he plans to sell and will be putting the house on the market in spring. He has offered us first offer but the asking price is £40k more than we would pay and we don't have enough for a deposit yet anyway.

Our decluttering is now about minimising what we have in case we have to move.

I have come to a shuddering halt with my decluttering. Had an op on my wrist at the end of last year. All was fine until about a fortnight ago. I have managed to pull something which causes horrendous pain certain ways I move my arm! Doc assures me that it will repair itself! However, no lifting, decluttering, knitting or gardening for a while!
  • I did plan on a bit of a declutter and a baking session but other things have prevented my plans.

I have a list of places I'd like to declutter in the next couple of weeks, today I have managed to sort out the bathroom cupboard so I'm pleased about that!

I think I'm going to tackle this in baby steps, if I manage to get more done in one session then it will be a bonus but I'm not going to let it get me down if I only manage a little at a time.

Sorted through 1 of DS3'swardrobes today. 1 Jacket to go to cs,2 t-shirts to rag bag and one pair of pants I can wear for exercise class -may use them for painting/in bed instead (have 3 pj tops, only one bottom half - make up for my disappointment -saw a lovely nightdress in cs at beginning of week and it had gone on Friday when I went back for it.) Six items needed repairs -determined that he will do them.

Husband got rid of some more books today. That's more than 400 paperbacks that have gone in the last few months. The kindle has got to be the best birthday present I have ever bought him.
