Grow your own dinner 2014

My lettuce has been out for weeks and is doing really well - I've been making salad at every opportunity in an effort to use it before it bolts.
My partner and I usually go the rounds of the garden each day to see how things are growing but it's so miserable here he's got the binoculars out and looked down the garden from in the house the past two days. I really hope what annie said about the weather improving for the weekend is true!Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!0 -

I did that for most of 2012 binoculars are a fair-weather gardener's friend

Hi suzeesu2000! Hope you don't mind me jumping in, but I don't suppose you could give us a link to that chart, please?
I've been trying to resist posting in here until we exchange (buying first house - going to have my first garden - so excited!!! :j ), but that chart sounds too good to miss!0 -

Theres finally some sunshine here! WOOHOO.
Hoping it will dry out a bit outside whilst I'm at my 2 hour appointment and then when I'm back I can crack on with the canes for my beans, check on the green babies, give the tomatoes a cup of tea, and then possibly sow some more seeds.
I have some chervil to try, a mixed basil seed collection, and then my pak choi needs spacing out.Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

Transforming my garden into my veggie garden paradise is taking a lot longer than expected. The weather isn't helping much either. Although the perennials currently residing in my future veg patch seem to be enjoying it Grr!!That voice in your head that says you can’t do this is a LIAR!

Oddly enough, my indoor parsley is absolutely booming as is the outdoor coriandor.
Am desperate for the pots to finish so i can harvest before we move - will be a serious pain to have to transport 8 pot bags full of plants!!
Victoria plum is amazing me - she has done so well and now has 21 plums and growing more! I feel plum jam coming on - ooh and some plum puree for my porridge, yummy!Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal
