Anyway, I've just taken it back to the store and got a full refund.

Opening post 13:40 then a second post and then been to shop and back to return TV and post on here for a third post all by 14:32.

    Impressive!

Yup. 52 minutes to box it up, return it, get a refund and get back. Not bad. Probably spent longer registering, waiting for the email, then typing the first post than it did to get a full refund.
...which must mean they still have no TV.
    1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
    2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
    3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?

It would have been quicker had I not had to wait in the long line at the Know How help desk. :p

The television was mainly to use with the PS4, so I still have another set to use in the mean time.

They would not refund for this anyway, they would see it as an excuse rather than a genuine complaint.

With DGS the op would spend more time arguing with them than the time it took to get back to the store, get the refund then have nothing better to do than post up the result. A tall tale me thinks.

Well done to the OP and congrats for actually getting your way with Curry's. I've had so many issues with them (everything from their "price matching" scam to incorrect prices being charged), I now refuse to set foot in their stores.

I'm with the OP on this one :o

Surely a wrong lead in a box with a tv would either mean:-

    a) Wrong lead put in box at manufacture?

    B) They (Currys) have repackaged a returned or display model and put the wrong lead in the box?

I find the first not likely in my opinion.

So, that leaves the second scenario - and hence I would ask for my money back as well :A

Mind you - I would never buy from Currys anyway :rotfl:

Are you just going to post this on every Currys thread?
One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.

Well I've just taken a picture of the receipt for you but as a new member to the forum I'm unable to post any links I'm afraid, so you'll just have to take my word for it, for now anyway.

OP you're entitled to do as you did. No doubt about that. I just wonder, no offence intended, at your lack of tolerance on the issue. I'd be considering what the measured response to the situation would be. The fact is: now you've got to go find another TV set - all for the sake of a cable!

It does sort of seem like cutting your nose off to spite your face but as I said, no offence intended, you had the right to take it back. :)
