  • Not illegal as its a delivery. Anyway, not to take this thread off topic.

I'd only read the first post when I replied here. Illegal or not, it can still be annoying when people block your drive even if only for a short time. Over-reaction? Maybe. But everyone has the right to vent. Two threads doesn't mean they have a bad temper especially as they only wanted advice on this one.
  • Just saw the other thread and cross posted before I read here.
  • Well that possibly explains not wanting strangers.

As for the temper, it does say vent in the title but it's not like they're yelling or anything. They have a right to be annoyed about someone illegally parking across their driveway. Why would anyone be happy about being blocked in when they may have to go out at any time?

Two threads doesn't mean much either. Besides, it's rare you see positive happy threads on here, it is mostly people wanting advice or ranting/venting.

Two threads, perhaps not much in isolation. But together and taking a photo of a delivery van to upload to Facebook......that's a little OTT even for a pregnant female.

Not to mention Arlandria606's follow-up comment saying:-

'I sincerely hope that, if any of you ever need an ambulance, there's a huge fleet of Tesco vans illegally parked and blocking them from getting to you.'

I don't think they meant that in a nasty way, just in a see how you like being blocked in, maybe you'll have sympathy for my situation then. It comes across bad, doesn't mean they actually meant it that harsh. Although why a fleet...

I didn't read anything about a photo on Facebook. Was it to Tesco on Facebook? If so that was just proof then by the sounds of it. People deal with things differently. If you generally get annoyed at things like being blocked in then knowing there might be an emergency and being pregnant as well then obviously it's going to seem OTT to some people.

BTW getting annoyed doesn't mean they have a bad temper or are rude or whatever to people, it is possible to be annoyed and keep it to yourself (or just vent online). Don't want to go in circles again over this thread about that.

The problem is that some people can get very annoyed and obsessed about trivial things and lose sight that although it is important to them, it may not be as important to anyone else.

I think there are people out there that have genuine problems with people illegally parking rather than Tesco stopping for five minutes to make a delivery.

At the time when it has annoyed them, trivial as it may be, I see no harm in venting on a forum about it. A lot of people do that. Course it's not helped when no one sees it the same way as the OP, but for others it's a way to just have a quick rant and move on.

If just a few people had replied saying things along the lines of 'yeah, that annoys me too, why park across a drive even just for a few minutes when there's room to park without doing so' and there weren't all the negative, uncaring comments that thread would be completely different and probably far shorter.

It may have seemed important at the time, some people are always thinking what if and if there's little else to distract you (because you're at home all day, pregnant or out of work, for example) it's easy to find you get more annoyed about little things. They'd be forgotten a moment if something more important happened.

Do you happen to know the OP? The way you have been defending her whatever she says is a bit weird honestly.

Yes, people vent on forums and it's fine, but do you remember the person who complained about an Amazon seller. That person was messed around for a month and received nothing. You laughed at their problem and said they were over-reacting.

So, why do some people's problems matter and others don't?
